St. Therese of Lisieux:
Our Spiritual Guide for the Easter Season

www. AmericanCatholic.org
Our friends at American Catholic have a wonderful page that celebrates one of the Church's greatest saints and her contribution to the life of the Church with her reflections on Eastertide. Known as the "Little Flower," Saint Therese has inspired many believers by living life in what she described as her littleness and nothingness, trusting in God to be her sanctity.
She once remarked, "I take up Holy Scripture. Then all seems luminous to me; a single word uncovers for my soul infinite horizons; perfection seems simple; I see that it is enough to recognize one's nothingness and to abandon oneself, like a child, into God's arms. Leaving to great souls, to great minds, the beautiful books I cannot understand, I rejoice to be little because 'only children, and those who are like them, will be admitted to the heavenly banquet."
American Catholic offers us a splendid Easter article to reflect on our interior life and the Resurrection of Jesus as we share the reflections of St. Therese.
At her death, St. Therese's last words were,
"My God, I love you!"
At the bottom of this article are 5 Final Questions. Don't miss them!

ARTFULLY SPEAKING
Pope John Paul, II
~by Rick Cannizzaro
Pope John Paul II is on the way to be Beatified by the Church. Those in charge of investigating the "Life and Miracles" had to document the facts showing that he was a saint. The process included the questioning of 114 people, those who were both for and against the beatification. Rick's oil painting of John Paul II captures the holiness of this man of God.
