We congratulate Sister Marie Rene on her 60th Jubilee as a Sister of St. Joseph!
Your life of service and love is an inspiration to all who have known you. You are my mentor and dear friend, a gift from God. May Jesus and Mary bless you abundantly in the upcoming year. ~ Susi Pittman God bless our very own Sister Marie Rene. She has performed this fast of doing the Love of God for the past 60 years. Let us Thank God for another year of Sister Marie Rene! I met Sister Marie Rene and Susi Pittman (soon to be an Associate of the Sisters of St. Joseph) when I was assigned as a deacon at Epiphany Parish back in 1989. What a blessing it was! Sister Rene has been a great mentor and friend of mine. Back then I was like a priest on training wheels! ~Father Ron Camarda Congratulations to Sister Marie Rene on her 60th Jubilee! In Springfield, MASS, we were much involved with the Sisters of St. Joseph. They probably have a greater presence there than any other order. ~ Joe Kaiser
Congratulations Sr. Marie Rene on your 60 years of service as a Sister of St. Joseph and in serving our Lord, Jesus Christ! ~ Mary Galvano-Bajohr I would like to congratulate Sister Marie Rene on her 60th year as a Sister of St. Joseph, because her words stir memories of my youth and of the support the nuns gave me while at St Ignatius Loyola. ~ Rick Cannizzaro Wishing you a blessed year as you celebrate your service to God! ~ Frank Gromling

THE GOOD NEWS
The Easter Lily Research Foundation
www.easterlily.org
There is an area next to the Pacific Ocean, approximately ½ mile wide by twelve miles long where almost all of North America's Easter Lily bulbs are cultivated. The Easter Lilies we see on our Church altars have most likely come from these bulbs. Incredibly, an Easter Lily bulb takes well over 1,000 days underground, seeing little light, which allows it to get to the perfect size for the Easter Season.
This is a remarkable site that is sure to give you a new perspective and appreciation of those beautiful lilies that grace this holy time of year!
God and His creations never cease to amaze! May He bless the stewards of the land and it's gifts!

STARGAZING
The Heavens and the Start of Lent
This week, the heavens are blessed with an "evening star" which is Jupiter, appearing low on the western horizon below the moon, and the "morning star" which is Venus, appearing on the eastern horizon just before sunrise, both such fitting heralds to the beginning of Christianity's most holy season. Did you know that the full moon in March is called the "Lenten moon?"
