THE GOOD NEWS

SPCAI Bring Them Home

www.spcai.org

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals International continues to do great things in rescuing animals around the globe from death and cruelty.

But, no where are they more visible than in their efforts with their incredibly charitable program, OPERATION BAGHDAD PUPS-NO BUDDY LEFT BEHIND.

Our service men and women befriend local animals in their ability to cope with the emotional hardships of being in a war zone. These friendships run very deep and these animals become like family to the troops. The emotional hardship of separation from these beloved pets as our troops return home is very real.

Terri Crisp, who is on the ground in Baghdad heading up the NO BUDDY LEFT BEHIND program, gave this recent update on the animals being rescued:

  • On Sunday, Cassandra made it out with two more Operation Baghdad Pups animals.  They all landed in DC safely on Monday.
  • 11 dogs and cats have already been rescued this month.  17 more to go.
  • Re: Smoke: (Smoke is a donkey adopted by our troops at Camp Taqaddum, Iraq) CLICK HERE to read Smoke's story
  • I've heard reports of an equine flight arriving in 2 weeks.  I am praying I can get Smoke on this return flight to Dubai, where he would transfer to U.S. bound flight.
  • This would save Smoke from an exhausting, dangerous road trip to Istanbul.  It is a very positive development.
  • By the time you read this, I will be trying to track down the name of the airline and a contact.  Ameer, our volunteer translator and friend, will be helping me.
  • Have we raised enough money for Smoke's journey?

Also in need of rescue is a wartime hero named Idle. Please bring this wartime dog home! CLICK HERE & SIGN HIS PETITION!!

Please ADVOCATE for the SPCAI and

DONATE  to their continued success

as stewards of God's creatures.
