The Good News
THE ARBOR DAY FOUNDATION www.arborday.orgThe Arbor Day Foundationbegan in 1972, and is a nonprofit conservation and education
organization of nearly one million members, with a mission to inspire
people to plant, celebrate and nurture tree. It is one of the world's
largest nonprofit conservation organizations dedicated to planting trees
and has distributed more than 10 million trees yearly. The foundation
works with the U.S. Forest Service to plant trees in America's national
forests and the National Association of State Foresters to plant trees
in state forests. Through the generous donations of its members and
partners, the Foundation has helped the Forest Service plant more than
18 million forestland trees since 1990. But, the foundation is also much more. There is the Arbor Day Farm,
a national historic landmark and home to the incredibly natural and
beautiful 144 guest room Lied Lodge & Conference Center in Nebraska
City, Nebraska. Here you will find 260 acres of natural
beauty, hiking trails, a 50-foot high treehouse, arboretums, exhibits,
hands on learning, award winning wines, the South Table Creek and golf. CELEBRATE trees, one of God's glorious creations!
