Gentle Carousel: Little Therapy Horses with Big Hears www.horse-therapy.org
"There is something about the
outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man."
~ Winston Churchill
Horses are perhaps the most noble of all of
God's creatures and this wonderful quote, located on the Gentle
Carousel web site describes perfectly the mission of the Gentle
Carousel, a unique animal therapy 501K consisting of miniature horses. These noble
little horses go through a two year training program in which they are
trained to handle elevators, stairs, crowds, flying on airplanes, stairs
and all types of noise and equipment. Their job is to visit the sick,
infirmed and dying in hospitals, hospice care facilities, group homes,
assisted care facilities as well as working with adults and children
with disabilities and at risk
abused children. They are little horses that bring big healings and
their special love to the hearts of those they visit.

Remembering Our Space Animals
When we think of "star gazing" we don't
always think about the animals that got a first-hand look at the stars
thanks to their human caretakers. These days we are induced by the media
to only remember the many historical moments of man's greatness, as
men were sent into space and NASA became the darling of an American
public. But, what about those animals that led the way for their human
stewards? READ MORE...
