We have come across one of the most astonishing and amazing places
that not only envisions an earthly harmony between man and beast, but lives it
daily; it is Noah's Ark Animal Rehabilitation Center and Children's Homes in Locust Grove, Georgia.
Founded by Jama Hedgecoth and her husband Charles, the 250
acre site was built "to shield children and animals from today's floods of
abuse and neglect. They have provided a safe haven in which to provide God's
unconditional love for humans and animals that have special needs in their
life, be it emotional, mental or physical. They have every conceivable animal
on the property and the children's programs include pet therapy and an
environment of Godly principles.
Jama came to the attention of NBC's Today Show when they
read the story of an amazing relationship that exists on the property. Jama shared the unique relationship of their Tiger, Lion and Bear which have
lived together over nine years in harmony like siblings. Charles is featured in
a YouTube Presentation of his own, roaming with his carnivorous pets.
If ever there is a sign in today's world of just how
beautiful man's good stewardship with creation and his fellow man COULD BE,
this is it! Just an outstanding ministry and one that deserves support.

Father Ron will be returning this week from his mission to Honduras. He
has written this column prior to leaving, a truly anointed work that asks us to
walk through the garden of the poor of this world, a garden that calls each of
us to see Jesus in their faces and their souls. Plus, his personal miracle in
the sand!

Susi's Commentary For the Love of Pets: Re-sensitizing Our Stewardship of Creation

A recent article on Zenit titled For the Love of Pets: The Growing
Trend to Humanizing Animals, has prompted a personal commentary by
Susi. She finds the article "unsettling."

Looking up into the night sky, I am amazed as I think of the manmade
marvel of an International Space Station orbiting the planet. Growing up
in the 50's and 60's, like many of my generation, I have watched as men
reached out into space and walked by the grace of God on the beautiful
celestial body we call our Moon. Our space program was rightly ordered
then, God WAS a part of the program.

| QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"Obedience unites us so closely to God that in a way transforms us
into Him, so that we have no other will but His. If obedience is lacking; even
prayer cannot be pleasing to God."
~St. John Chrysostom
