This Week's Celebrity Guest: Ashley Dobbs
I met Ashley last summer in Washington, D.C.
and found that I 
had just met a fascinating woman who is part of an
extraordinary and expanding arena in the world of Law. Ashley is an Attorney at
Law dealing with Animal Law and Pet Trusts, though she also deals in Non-Profit, Business and Intellectual Property.
The practice
of animal law deals primarily with resolving legal issues and situations in
which the nature of, legal status, behavior or biology of animals are factors.
Typically, animals don't have standing in a court of law but the people who
care about animals, or who own them or have suffered harm by them, often do.
Most notable in this subject matter is the retired Price is Right host, Bob
Barker, who's DJ&T Foundation has contributed millions of dollars to fund
animal rescue and park facilities all over the country.
Ashley
is impressive with her law knowledge and beams a confident air of joy and
passion for her work! She is completing a new book titled, KEEP THE PROMISE:

Feast Day of St. Francis, Patron of the Ecology
OCTOBER 4th: This Saturday is the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi.
Catholic parishes nationwide will be conducting The Blessing of the
Animals as domestic and wild animals as well as livestock will be brought
to Church grounds to receive the special blessings of the day. Saint
Francis, the Patron Saint of Animals is also the Patron Saint of the Ecology.
Let us offer our prayers in humble devotion to Jesus through this magnificent
saint that we may all treat the gift of creation, be it animal, vegetable or
mineral with care and kindness and with responsible stewardship for the
