 "Oktoberfest Celebration!"

Mark your calendars for the weekend of October 7th, 8th and 9th. Cape Harbour will be hosting an "Oktoberfest Celebration" that will be fun for the whole family. There will be live music performances by local and national touring bands. Adding to the festivities, the Shops at Cape Harbour as well as Guest Vendors located throughout the Promenade will sell unique clothing items, home décor, jewelry and handmade art and giftware. Audi of Fort Myers will sponsor a "Kid's Zone" with a Bounce House, games, bungee jumping and even pony rides for the youngsters. The Joint & Rumrunners will be serving up plenty of authentic German cuisine and beverages.

Friday, October 7th the music will begin on the main stage at 4pm. With the evening's music sponsored by Jagermeister, local German performers, HAFFENKAPPLE, will get the party started in the traditional fashion. At 8pm, CROSSROADS, the headline band for the evening will be keeping the crowd dancing until 10pm. Join us for the tapping of the Gordon Bierch Keg at 6pm. If that's not enough fun, play BOOT-ology Trivia for more laughs and great prizes. WINK 96.9 FM will join the kickoff Party via live remote from 5pm to 7pm.

Saturday, October 8th at 1pm, the party starts again with Larry Roberts, a one man show from Fort Lauderdale. If you can't get enough Polka tunes from Larry, HAFFENKAPPLE will be back for another round of the sounds of Germany.  

At 4:30 pm, show your skill by entering the Yodeling Competition. Then as the sun goes down, the lights go up as we present our headliners for the weekend, U.V. - a tribute to U2. U.V. is the best U2 cover band in the nation and will put on an unbelievable show you do not want to miss. Enjoy great music test your skills in the Samuel Adams Stein Hoisting Contest. WINK 96.9 FM again joins the event via live remote for 2pm to 5pm.

Sunday, October 9th, we wrap things up with the sounds of local favorites Chris Workman and Derek Trenholm from 2pm to 9pm.

Harley Davidson of Fort Myers, an event sponsor, has donated a 2011 FXDB Street Bob Motorcycle which will be raffled off on Sunday the 9th at 8pm with proceeds going to the "March of Dimes Bikers for Babies" campaign. Tickets are $100 and may be purchased at The Joint or Rum Runners. There will only be 300 tickets sold so don't miss your chance!
