Ahoy me hearties!!
It's that time of year and we're fixin' to invite all you landlubbers to be pirates for a day at our Pirates in Paradise 2010 Boat Parade and Costume Ball with fun, music, grog, tasty grub and prizes, with all booty in the treasure chest goin' to some fine, deservin' maties - the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
Set your compass - the event is dropping anchor at CapeHarbour on Saturday, October 23rd with the boat parade starting at 2 pm. Live music with Dennis Reilly from 2pm - 4pm and "The Mixx" from 4pm - 8pm Arrrrr...
Aye, this party ain't for the lilly-livered, squiffy, or scallywags, so bring the kids, dress in ye best pirate clothes, don't forget ye eye patch, set ye parrot on ye shoulder and join your fellow maties for a swashbucklin' good time. Catch me drift?
There will be prizes, too: Best Decorated Pirate Vessel, Best Decorated House along the parade route, Ugliest Pirate Costume, and Sexiest Wench Costume. A special "Surrender the Booty Treasure Hunt" for the kids, and hair braids and tattoos courtesy of High Maintenance Salon.
Blimey! The loot couldn't go to a better organization - The Harry Chapin Food Bank. Those good people provide much needed grub to feed the desperately hungry in Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee counties and keep lads, lasses and their families healthy and at their best. Did you know that every $1 donated allows the food bank to distribute $6 worth of food!
Fair winds and see you on the 23rd! For more details and to register, call Captain Bone at The Joint, 239-542-0123. |
