The MENefits of Plastic Surgery!
More men than ever are joining woman in the race for self-improvement through plastic surgery! According to an annual study put out by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery there has been a 60% increase in men having cosmetic procedures in recent years. In fact, here at BHI, over 50% of our patients are men!
According to the study the majority of men are choosing to have minimally invasive procedures with little down time so they can return to work quickly looking refreshed and rejuvenated.
The plastic surgery of yesteryear was known to leave men looking too feminine. Now, with advancements in surgical techniques, men are able to have the anti-aging procedures they want and still look like men...younger better-looking men!
And what are the top three most popular procedures for men?
1. Liposuction
2. Eyelid surgery
3. Hair restoration

Have you Man-Toxed?
Most people know that Botox treatments can temporarily fix crow's feet, frown lines and forehead wrinkles, but should doctors administer the same dose to both women and men?
When men come to the Beverly Hills Institute for Botox injections, we use what we refer to as 'Male Strength Botox' which is a higher dosage than the injections we use on women. Since we treat so many men, we started noticing that Botox injections weren't lasting as long in men as they were in women. Seeing this trend, we formulated a stronger dosage exclusively for our male patients.
The "Man-Tox" injections are specifically tailored to male patients with a higher dosage of Botox because in general, men have much more dynamic muscles than women and therefore need a higher dosage to garner the full potential of Botox injections.
