Greetings!
The Chamber staff has been busy planning and finalizing a redesign of our website - www.PanamaCity.org. After months of hardwork by the staff here Chamber and ARINC's Web & IT Services staff, it is finally LIVE! Please take some time to see the fresh modern design and new features. Some of our favorites are a more user friendly calendar for chamber and community events, a page to view and post job opportunities, news/blog section where members are invited to submit advice & resource articles in their area of expertise, beach and marina live web cams, photo gallery and more. Thanks again to ARINC for allowing us to create this great resource for our members! MAC members don't forget, we are hosting the Cobb County Chamber of Commerce Honorary Commander's Association on February 16th at The Boatyard from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. If you are interested in joining MAC, contact Tamara@baychamberfl.com. The Governmental Affairs Committee is continuing to stay engaged in the current legislative session. Be on the lookout for monthly updates on our new website - news section. The Chamber has a lot of events coming up, check below and on the websites calendar of events page for details. Sincerely, The Bay County Chamber of Commerce Staff |

MEMBER OF THE YEAR AWARD
The Bay County Chamber normally awards the Member of the Year award during the Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony, however, this years winner was not able to attend dinner. Completely surprised, Pam Anderson of Captain Andersons Marina, accepted the award during the February First Friday.
|
| | (L-R) Tom Stallings, Chief of Staff, Office of Congressman Southerland; Al McCambry, Chairm of the Board, Bay County Chamber; Pam Anderson; Ken Anderson; and Melissa Thompson, Deputy District Director, Office of Congressman Southerland |
Pam Anderson has been a member of the Chamber since 1963 and has gone above and beyond the call of duty for the Chamber and our community. She is an advocate for her industry, fishing, which represents a large segment of our local economy and has a major impact on Bay County's number one industry, tourism.
Congressman Steve Southerland even sent a message to congratulate Pam, "It is with great pleasure that I learned of Pam Anderson's recognition by the Bay County Chamber of Commerce for her exceptional leadership and advocacy for our fisheries.
Pam understands the Gulf Coast's rich heritage and she has been a champion for the hardworking families who make a living on our waterways. Pam has fought for this cause with a passion and elegant class that earns respect regardless of your point of view. I am proud to call Pam Anderson my friend, and I am pleased that she is being recognized for her selfless service by an organization that I equally love." |
