 Dear Job Center Customer

Discouraged. Angry. Confused. Worried.   These emotions are a common experience for people who are unemployed.  The market is difficult and the path to employment is complicated.  But jobsearch can also be a time of discovery-a time for you to find your true career passion.   We're here to help you find a new path.  Encouraged.  Interested.  Motivated.  Knowledgeable.  Read on . . .

Due to a high volume of traffic, WIA (Workforce Investment Act) funding for the Lake County area is currently limited. Jobseekers who are interested in WIA funding are welcome to attend an information session. There is a significant waiting list for new applicants. Take advantage of our additional resources for jobseekers including workshops, resume preparation, and onsite recruitment.  If you are interested in training, you are also encouraged to research other financial aid options through the Illinois workNet portal or by speaking to a financial aide representative at the school of your choice.
