DSH
The Medicaid DSH proposal did move out of the House Appropriations subcommittee and was adopted by the Appropriations Committee. These are significant steps as the legislators agree for the need to reallocate DSH. The challenge is Michigan's current revenue picture which is bleak.
What is the process?
The current thought is that the budget will move through the Senate and most likely end up in a Conference Committee. These committees are comprised of three House and three Senate members. They must vote either yes or no to complete their task.

Grant Proposal
The diabetes grant proposal is complete. We are currently exploring funding opportunities. The Community work team's next meeting is being hosted by Allegiance Health in Jackson on May 15. |
| Value Maximization |
|
Value Maximization Summit
The first Value Maximization Summit was a success. Over 40 members participated, including many health system CEOs. The evaluation results revealed that over 92% felt the meeting was worthwhile and would choose to participate again.
The conference focused on:
- History and meaning of VHP
- Dashboards
- Evidence-based practice
- Driving improvement in multi-disciplinary teams.
