I think we would all agree that over the last couple of months we have seen a pick up in both sales and refinance business.  This is great news for us here in Central Florida.  Even though we will be dealing with short sales and foreclosures for a couple more years, it does show that people are wanting to purchase homes.  As busy as you are I urge you not to neglect your normal prospecting activities, referral calls, and consumer marketing tasks.  You must continue to add to your pipeline thus preventing it from drying up!  Here are some simple things you can do to keep your pipeline fresh...
 
  1. Identify a Niche market and ATTACH!
  2. Create a marketing message relevant to today's market
  3. Meet a minimum of 10 new people each week
  4. Start a blog on your website...this will increase web traffic!

STANDARDIZED GFE & HUD-1 COMING SOON!

Over the past several years our industry has taken a hard look at the current process of lending money to purchase/refinance real estate. In some cases companies have had to change how they do business to comply with new state and federal regulations.  As of January, 1, 2010 lenders will be required to use a new standardized GFE, and title companies will be required to use a revised HUD-1 statement.  The new HUD-1 statement will have a third page that will highlight any changes in the amounts from the GFE to the HUD.  In addition some of the settlement fees cannot increase more than 10%.  In addition to these changes HUD also added a 30-day right to cure any costs that fall outside of the allowable "tolerance".  This article give some great information about the recent changes and provides additional resources to learn more.  Click on the link below for resources that will help you understand how to comply to RESPA.

Are you ready for Summer Break? 
As the school year comes to an end every parent is asking themselves the same question, "How will I keep the kids busy this summer?"  Finding a summer camp program can be a daunting task for anyone.  When I began looking for summer camps for my two children I was overwhelmed.  As I called to get more information I found that some of the camps were already full.  Thus, leading me to expand my search on the internet. I found some great information to help me keep my kids busy this summer.  I hope you find them helpful in planning for this summer.
