Ladybird luck for the new decade!

The Ladybird Letter!

Hello!

There's an energy in the air. 2010 is going to be a wonderful year, full of ladybird luck and good times!
I spent Christmas day paddle boarding, laughing and relaxing under a huge tuckeroo tree with friends. The day was made magic by the hundreds of pretty little bugs that perched everywhere! The perfect combination of appetite-building activity, delicious food, friendship and gorgeous photographic 'bugjects' made it my best Christmas ever! ( Sub-consciously I must have been inspired to decorate myself to match my pretty bug friends and my bright pink sunburn has been quite a sight to behold!)

On Boxing Day I found some amazing fiddler beetles enjoying the gum blossoms on a friends tree. They are just gorgeous little models (above). I am feeding them lots of grevillea and gum blossoms and intend to keep them fit and happy in readiness for the photography workshop on the 16th of January. I am really excited about it and have all sorts of things planned for what will be an amazing day. It's all happening!

It's going to be a fantastic, busy and super inspirational day!
I will focus on the close-up and macro world of photography as there are many elements that relate only to this fascinating genre of image-making. Of course, many of the skills you will learn can be applied to any type of subject from landscapes to portraits. You will work with creating arresting still-life compositions and move on to the very challenging and rewarding realm of live subjects.
We will work inside the studio and outdoors. You will have access to a wide variety of specialist photographic equipment and my fabulous library.
This intensive workshop suits photography lovers of all skill levels!

You will be creating images throughout the day and I will conduct a review of your work.

I have taught many photo workshops, but this will be the first in my spacious Byron Bay studio,
and a very rare chance to work with me. You will leave full of inspiration, new skills and the courage
to fully embrace your image making potential!

I am taking a blog class with a venerated blog diva based in Germany in a few weeks. I hope to improve my communication skills and blogging prowess! I really enjoy blogging.
