Jane Davenport
The Ladybird Letter!
Hello!
When I first started creating a few little treasures to accompany my exhibitions, I had no idea that they would become so sought after and such a source of happiness for both the collector and myself as a designer! Now that I have my own gallery and store in Byron Bay, I have even more of an excuse to just keep on creating. It has been my mission to usher the Institute of Cute out of its little nest on my website and it has finally flown off to find its own space!

I have completely redesigned and configured 'my' website to include an exhibition archive, current works and a photoblog. It is still a work in progress, but now that I am a little further along the learning curve, it is actually quite fun to work on it! My next task is to wave the magic SEO wand over it - so if you are a Search Engine genius, let's talk!

Have you had time to notice that there have been a lot of ladybirds around lately? I went butterfly watching on the weekend, and it's prime time for them too. Get out in the garden and take a look!

Cheers,
Jane

Jane Davenport Ladyb Blog
Love photography? Join the the ladyblog!
Of course, not every photograph I make is destined to become an artwork, but all are part of a journey.
Some are experimental and a learning experience on the way to fleshing out an idea.
Others are happy snaps to record a moment. Most are filed away in my vast digital library
and wait
for the right context for them to be remembered and used in a project.

I have started my photoblog as a visual diary of my creative process and a chance to share
some of the exciting photographic experiences and challenges that come my way!
For example, I just had some of my images from my last trip to Sabah (Malaysian Borneo)
featured in Grazia Magazine, so now I have a place to share those snippets!
I
hope you get time to drop in and see what I have been up to and comment.

Jane Davenport Calendars
Calendars
Can it really be time to be thinking of calendars and diaries for next year already?
I have had lots of orders over the last few weeks from highly organised souls,
and I thought I would remind you about the calendars too, as we always sell-out!
I have four calendars for 2010!
The Australian produced Calendars feature a series of my icon images featuring butterflies,
ladybirds and DevOcean images. They come in two sizes - the regular 30cm calendar size
and a brand new mini-size (too cute!).

I also have two calendars published in the USA for 2010, and I have the only copies in Australia!

For the super-organised and for those who want to start of that way for 2010,

I would absolutely love feedback from you about the new sites. Let me know if they were easy to use,
slow to load or fast and zippy! If you spot spelling errors ( bound to be a gazillion!) or a mistake a two,
please be forgiving and let me know.

Sincerely,

Jane Davenport
