Go Global!
What comes to mind when you hear Islam? The rapid spread of its influence makes this religion a source of confusion or concern for Americans. As Christians, we need to know more, think clearly and respond appropriately regarding this religion ... and more importantly its followers. We at Grace prioritize global outreach as a ministry pillar, and each November we highlight that priority at Global Impact Week. This year, Islam (and our response to it) is the focus for the upcoming week.
Many Christians reside, work and live out their faith in the "lands of the crescent." And many people from those lands do the same right here in the Brazos Valley. As people of Grace, we need to know more-understanding how to encourage believers who live "there" and how to share our hope with Muslims who live "here." This compelling week is designed to give you that information.
Take a look at the schedule, come be a part-the following tells a bit more about each event:
- GO! Conference // TONIGHT, 7-10pm @ Kyle Field and Wed, Nov 9, 7:30pm @ Grace Anderson: be challenged to engage in God's plan for the nation (all ages are welcome)
- Breakfast & Panel // Thu, Nov 10, 6:45 am @ Anderson: learn from Christians who've lived in the lands of the crescent (live Q&A), plus free breakfast!
- Worship & Prayer for the Nations // Thu, Nov 10, 7pm @ Southwood: worship and pray with these same bold Christians
- Bridges Seminar, with Fouad Masri // Sat, Nov 12, 9am-3pm @ Anderson: learn about Islam & sharing your faith with Muslim friends (please pre-register online)
- Sunday Services: Fouad will speak at all services
We will also introduce our 2012 short-term trips on Sun, Nov 13 after the services with a free lunch, so you too can "Go Global"! For more details on the schedule above, visit grace-bible.org/goglobal. |
