Randie 2011

Randie Marsh, Director

Dear  ,

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world.  Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." (Margaret Mead)  When I hear this quote, I think of our SOTENI Clubs.  SOTENI Clubs are high school groups who work in their schools to educate, raise awareness and raise funds to help victims of the AIDS pandemic in Kenya.  They are such inspiring young people to work with!

The first story is about an event that is being planned by high school students.   Youare invited to particpate in the Kilometers for Kenya-Bike Ride, which will be held in Cincinnati on October 23rd. It will be a fun-filled event for the whole family!  All proceeds will benefit SOTENI's Sponsorship Program.  We encourage you to support these young people and their cause by participating or donating.

The second story profiles one of the high school students organizing and leading the bike ride. Aloke Desai can inspire each of us as he shares what working with SOTENI has meant to him.

The third story highlights just some of the ways that this small group of students has made a real difference in another part of the world.

You, too, can make a difference.  Mobilize your school or church to support SOTENI.  These high school students are wonderful role models for all of us!  We look forward to seeing you October 23.

Asante sana! (Thank you!)
