Randie Marsh, Director

Dear  ,

In this issue of our e-newsletter we want to bring you up close and personal with SOTENI Village of Hope-Ugenya (SVH-Ugenya).

The first story describes a wonderful grant the SVH and its AIDS Barefoot Doctor Program recently received to educate pregnant women and others of child-bearing age in ways to prevent the transmission of the HIV/AIDS virus to their infants.

The second story features  Calvin Juma Aloo,  Ugenya's Village of Hope Coordinator, who works tirelessly to  promote and sustain SOTENI's programs in the area.

The third story presents  a frank assessment of Ugenya's Banana Farm, which was created as an income-generating venture, but sadly has fallen on hard times.   The Banana Farm needs your donations to revitalize the banana plants and make the farm profitable by January 2013!

You can help us grow healthy bananas or support any of the SOTENI operations or projects by  clicking here.

Asante sana! (Thank you!)
