SOTENI sends you greetings in this season of hope and light! 
 
As you and your family begin your holiday preparations, we encourage you to include SOTENI's community development programs in Kenya on your "gift giving" list.  These programs bring hope and positive change to AIDS orphans and other vulnerable people in one of the world's most impoverished areas.  
 
Described below are three unique  opportunities to support community development in Kenya this holiday season.  Choosing one or all of these opportunities will help SOTENI and its four Villages of Hope support local people in creating sustainable improvements in their lives and communities.

SOTENI Holiday Gift Cards can solve any gift-giving dilemmas!  
 
Make a donation to SOTENI of $25.00 or more in honor of one or more people on your shopping list, and we will send them a Holiday Gift Card on your behalf announcing the gift.
 
The gift card reads: "A gift of hope in the season of light."

The inside text tells the recipient that you gave a gift in their honor and describes SOTENI. It does not include the amount of the  gift.
 
A gift to SOTENI is meaningful, eco-friendly and helps to create a sustainable future for the people of Kenya.  It is a great way 
to honor or thank family members, neighbors, teachers, senior citizens and co-workers for all they do and the difference they make!

Sponsor a Child!
 
Through SOTENI's child sponsorship program you have the opportunity  to extend the "holiday spirit" all year!
 
Sponsorship is an annual commitment to significantly improve the life of one of Kenya's most vulnerable AIDS orphans by helping them stay in school.
 
Sponsors donate $600 per year, which pays for
items such as tuition, books, school supplies and uniforms. In the case of secondary school students, it also may pay for food and lodging at a boarding school. 
 
SOTENI currently has sponsors for 38 children.  We hope to increase that to 50 in 2010. 
You can select the child you want to sponsor from a pre-screened list of eligible students.
