Back in July 2011, I reminded everyone to examine and inspect your property records. Now the tax bills based on those property rolls are going in the mail.
The Madison County Tax Collector, Kay Pace, will mail the 2011 Property Tax Notices today. The notices are mailed to the property owners as of Jan 1, 2011. Anyone who has purchased property during 2011 may have to contact the previous owner or the Tax Collector to get a copy of their tax bill.
If unpaid, damages accrue after February 1, 2012 at the rate of 1% per month.
