Dear Friend,

Linda and I hope you had a blessed and Merry Christmas, and wish you a very Happy New Year.

New Year's Day is an opportunity to remember the events of the past and look forward with hope to the year ahead.

I thank you for trusting me with the honor of serving the people of Madison County.

2008 was an exciting first year as Madison County Supervisor and I've greatly enjoyed working with you to address the issues facing Madison County.  And, I'm looking forward to 2009 and the new opportunities!
Major 2008 Issues and Actions
2009 Opportunities and Challenges
  • Open, accountable and responsible County Government
  • Maintenance of existing Roads, Streets and Bridges
  • Improvement of Fire Protection and reduction of insurance fire rating codes
  • Study of options and planning for additional jail beds
  • Study of options and planning for Juvenile detention
  • Obtaining private, State and Federal funding for Reunion Parkway and Interchange
  • No New Taxes!
  • Continuous Improvement is my GOAL!
On New Years, during the midst of the celebrations, I also feel it is important to remember those in uniform across the nation and world that are protecting our freedom and our way of life.  Please say a prayer during the holidays for these Americans who are protecting each of us.

The first Board of Supervisors meeting will be held Monday, Jan 5, 2009. Click here to see agenda.

Please take a moment and forward this eNews Update to your friends and neighbors.

Linda and I send our best wishes for a happy New Year. May God bless you, and may God continue to bless America.
Warm regards,
