2012 Chamber Annual Meeting
& Awards Luncheon

Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens served as the keynote speaker for the Chamber's Annual Meeting & Awards Program at the Georgia Baptist Conference Center in Toccoa.
Prior to his election as Attorney General, Olens served on the Cobb County Commission for a number of years. He also chaired the Atlanta Regional Commission from late 2004 through 2009. The Rev. Dr. Henry Fields, long-time pastor and community member was the recipient of this year's Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Achievement Award.
First Baptist Church of Toccoa Minister of Music Larry Earhart introduced Fields as this year's winner.
He cited Fields' 16 years of service as pastor at First Baptist, along with his work as a chaplain for the Stephens County High School football team for 10 years.
Fields is also an active member of the Toccoa Lions Club and serves as a volunteer for the Stephens County Food Bank. He has also served as vice-chair of the Stephens County Historic Courthouse Restoration Committee and as a member of the Board of Trustees at Truett-McConnell College. In addition, Fields is also an author of numerous books and he helped start the Northeast Georgia Counseling Center.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was one of a number of awards presented at Tuesday's annual meeting.

- Industry of the Year - Osborne Wood Products
- Partner in Education - Bowen and Watson
- Entrepreneur of the Year - Gary LeCroy
- Business Plan Competition Winner - Taylor Creek Farms
- Chairman's Award - Bill Cochran
