New Colunm Coming... "Ask The Pro"
President's Message

To all Chapter Members, Partners, Associates and Friends:

It's hard to believe that I have reached the end of my term as Chapter President. In many ways it has gone by too quickly. We have accomplished a great deal and continue to work to finish the remainder of our goals. I truly appreciate the privilege and opportunity to have served you.

My gratitude goes to our terrific Board of Directors, Committee Chairs, Past Presidents and Executive Director, all of whom have done an outstanding job and have been of enormous help during this past year. Our Chapter remains one of the best in the world and that was only accomplished with their creative input, tireless work and assistance.

Argus Zone Testimonials

"I have been an excited Argus Zone user for about six months having switched from another system that lacked the power, stability and intuitiveness that ARGUS offers. As a commercial broker involved in investment brokerage, this collaboration portal enables me to share and work with documents from LOI to closing. Additionally, since my company also provides management services, I have now discovered that ARGUS Zone provides an incredible on-line property management system. The Commercial Real Estate Magazine has an article about how my company uses ARGUS Zone in the Jul/Aug 09 publication titled In the Zone."

Update: Construction Costs

Submitted by: John Waltz, E.E. Reed Construction Company

Over the last ten years, we have experienced yearly construction-cost increases that range from two to four percent annually (during the period of 1999 to 2004), similar to consumer price index cost-of-living adjustments to ten to 12 percent annual increases (during the period of 2005-2007).  This spike in cost increases was caused by escalating costs of certain commodities such as metals and petroleum-based products (such as polyisocianurate), transportation costs and manufacturing processes.

New Colunm Coming: Ask The Pro

One month before each CCIM Newsletter is published, we'll ask our CCIM members to submit questions for which they would like to receive a pro's opinion or advice.  One to three questions will be chosen for publication. We'll contact several appropriate CCIMs and present them with the question. And then we'll publish each of their answers in the upcoming Newsletter.  Watch your email for an opportunity to send us your question.  Also, make sure that we have your specialties listed in the CCIM Directory and online Directory so we will know how to contact you for answers.
