A Time of New Beginnings...
It is with mixed emotions that we send our newest alumni out into the world: on one hand, it will be sad not to see them every day, but on the other, we are so very proud of them and all they have accomplished! After the hustle and bustle of Commencement activities, we're having a quiet week on campus - unless you count the home men's and women's lacrosse games, softball games, baseball games and even a home track invitational...
Lucky for us on campus, that just as it seems as though we're left with an abrupt halt of the activity on campus, a smaller portion of students will come back to join us for spring term to help ease us into the summer months. As always, some of those students, too, will be headed out on fantastic spring term adventures, studying such things as "Medical Ethnology of the Amazon" with Dr. Brian Doyle, a Taiwanese Dance Trip, or even "Environmental Literature" in the Upper Peninsula with President Jeff Abernathy! We invite you to check out the list of all of the great offeringsthese students have this May.
Best wishes from campus as you ease into Summer!

Director of Alumni Engagement

Honors Day, Faculty Awards | | |
Over 120 Alma College students participated in Alma College's 16th annual Kapp Honors Day program on Thursday, April 5, 2012. This day provides a forum when traditional classes are canceled and students share their original research, creativity and talents with an audience of their peers.
In sessions spanning nearly eight hours, students perform in music, theatre and dance productions, give oral presentations of scholarly research, and lead poster discussions. With nearly 10 percent of the student body participating, other students are encouraged to attend as many presentations as possible both to support their fellow students and to learn from them.
