Dear Davidson Farmer's Market Patron,
The Davidson Farmer's Market has kicked off the 2012 Friends of the Market Pea Pod Fundraising Campaign. The campaign's goal of $3,000 will help to continue the year-round market's mission to offer residents and visitors access to fresh local food and the ability to communicate directly with the people who grow and make it.
It's been estimated that it costs about $700 to run each of the 40 markets held throughout the year. We already rely on corporate sponsors, but with your help, we will be able to raise funds in order to help cover the costs for tents, tables, Market day supplies, educational and special event materials, demo equipment, marketing efforts and day-to-day operating expenses. As a thank you, the Market is offering donors incentives including new rooster t-shirts, bumper magnets, and burlap Market totes.
