This Week at the Davidson Farmer's Market!

It's Halloween at the Market!

Come to the Market dressed-up in your costume....if you dare.  Market prizes will be awarded throughout the morning for most clever, funny and spectacular.  You can count on your trusty volunteers to be in full Halloween spirit. Stop by the DFM booth for more details tomorrow.

Audrey's Produce has donated a big box of apples for our Market shoppers to make caramel apples. There will be plenty of toppings to choose from - sprinkles, chocolate chips, granola, nuts, gummies and more!

Mark this on your calendar now...don't hesitate.  The first ever Winter Market Chef Challenge is next Saturday, Nov. 5, 9-11 a.m.  This event will kick-off the first day of the Winter Market, featuring FIVE Davidson Farmer's Market chefs:

* Chef Wes, Choplin's Restaurant, Cornelius

* Chef Joe, Roosters Wood-Fired Kitchen, Charlotte

* Chef Vera, J&W graduate and personal chef

* Chef Adam, J&W Student

* Chef Andres, FlatIron Kitchen & Taphouse

These chefs will be challenged to use four mystery Market ingredients and one bonus item. Each chef will prepare their best dish to be sampled and voted on by Market patrons. Open tasting from 10:15-10:45 a.m.

The Market Community picnic was last Saturday, celebrating volunteers, vendors and Market shoppers.  See the pictures below.

For a list of this week's Market offerings, follow here.

Rain or shine. Hot or cold. The weather doesn't keep our farmers and vendors from coming to Market.  So, we'll see you there too!
