Gleaning at the DFM

This Saturday will be DFM's first gleaning in 2011!

At Market closing, the Society of St. Andrews will come out and gather farmer donations to distribute to our local community in need.  That's right, this farm fresh food will feed our Davidson and surrounding area families.

This Week at the Davidson Farmer's Market!

Our DFM farmers will be celebrating the Fourth of July this Saturday by bringing their bounties to share with the community!

Everything you need for your holiday gathering is right here - in your backyard!  Delight your friends and family with the great taste of locally grown meats, pasta, veggies, fruits, cheeses, breads, honey and more!

1.  Arrive at the Market starting at 8 a.m., ready to shop.  But first, visit Summit for a cup of Joe.
2.  Be one of the first in line to buy an Imhoff doughnut.  Now you're living!
3.  Take a walk down into the parking lot and choose from a beautiful variety of produce, seafood and herbs.
4.  Continue down the lot and stop-by Chef Charles and Dan the Pig Man for your ready-to-go barbecue.  BBQ is exactly what you need for your Fourth of July festivities.  It rocks!
5. See the breath-taking flowers and pick up a bouquet for your Fourth of July picnic table.  These flowers are grown on their property - it's spectacular!
6. Turn-around and make your way back up towards Town Hall; visiting our cheese vendors, honey folks, sweets and artisan vendors, pasta vendor, and more luscious produce and meat vendors.
7. And the fruit!  What's the Fourth of July without a fruit parfait, blueberry pie or ice cream fruit topping?  Don't miss the berries, peaches and melons - they'll be all around you!

Have a fabulous holiday weekend and see you at the Market!

Why is the DFM Fundraising?

That's a great question...

grow it greenerThe Davidson Farmer's Market is a non-profit organization and relies on sponsorships and fundraising to survive and  thrive.

That's why we've been asking YOU, the community, to show your support by giving to the Market.  No donation is too big  or too small.

We'll be fundraising one final time this Saturday.  You may donate by visiting the donations page or by swinging by the Pea-pod table located beside the DFM booth.

On behalf of the DFM crew, thank you!
