Chef Vera delighted market patrons last Saturday with two creative and beautiful dishes using apples, pears and other market ingredients.  The textures and flavors were amazing!

Recipes - click on the title:

Vera used apples and pears from Audrey's Produce, Coldwater Creek Farm, greens from Barbee Farms and Coldwater Creek Farm, Goat cheese in place of Gorgonzola from Calico Dairy, and Brioche from Chef Charles.   Local pecans are a good local substitute for the walnuts in the first recipe.

Join us for Vera's final cooking demonstration of the season on October 23rd.  It's been a delicious journey through seasonal produce with Vera this year!  We've been fortunate to have her sharing her time and talent with us at the market.
