the DFM vendors offer each week, or bring your own.
We hope this becomes a lively tradition! Look for folks sitting on the grass off the Jackson St. (produce) lot, beneath the oak trees.

Local Events & News Sept. 18th: Davidson Lands Conservancy's RUN FOR GREEN Half Marathon, 10k, 5k, and GREEN DAY event on the Town Green. Info and Registration at the DLC website.
Sept. 18th and 19th: 2010 Charlotte Area Farm Tour, Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th. 27 local farms! Get out and see these beautiful farms, meet the farmers. For info and tickets visit the Know your Farms website, or buy your tickets at the DFM any Saturday. Volunteers will receive a free car pass - sign up to work at one of the farms! September 25th: Can You Dig It Charlotte Community Garden Tour 11am - 4pm and Garden Gathering 4pm - 7pm. Community gardens, demonstrations, lunch from Harvest Moon Grille and more. |

FALL AND WINTER PLANS at the MARKET
 3rd Annual Community Picnic Saturday Oct. 16th, 12:30 .
Come celebrate a successful market season and the joys of eating locally grown foods. We supply the fabulous grilled meats from local farms and the drinks, you bring a side dish (last name A-P) or dessert (Q-Z). Local ingredients encouraged.
This is a fun event and a special opportunity
to chow down with DFM vendors,
volunteers and our greater food community.

1ST and 3RD SATURDAYS IN NOVEMBER and DECEMBER
November 6th and 20th (Thanksgiving market), December 4th and 18th (Christmas market)
2ND and 4TH SATURDAYS, JANUARY through APRIL
Did you notice we made the dates easy to remember??? 1st and 3rd, 2nd and 4th. The Winter market is a lot of FUN and our talented farmers and vendors bring a surprising abundance of produce and seasonal items. More details as things progress!

As usual, from our own Bershire Pork selection: chops, tenderloin, ribs, ham, 6 kinds of breakfast sausages, 2 kinds of bratwurst, 3 kinds of Italian sausages, chorizo, seasoning meats and fresh rendered lard made from our pasture raised hogs. Our 100% Grass Fed Angus beef will be available- No Grain Fed At All. For those adventurous cooks come by and pick up a pack of ground or stew goat meat. There will also be plenty of our fresh free range eggs available so come by and load up. All of our products are 100% Rowan County Born & Raised.
