| TSTE of Winter Park | |
Bryan Behling and Jeffrey Schrader, TSTE of Winter Park, have turned a love of spices, cooking & entertaining into an avocation in their store. Three days after an Internet search turned up The Spice and Tea Exchange, they found themselves visiting TSTE of Tarpon Springs. They donned TSTE aprons for the first time in TSTE of Stuart, and opened their own store in Winter Park three months later. They have found a welcoming environment to check off an item on a life to-do list - community involvement! Even a short list of their activities is amazing; fundraising for homeless children, participation in a chili cook-off, and hosting an anniversary party for a church-service volunteer group. Jeffrey & Bryan love , sharing recipes such as TSTE Tailgater's Blend Chicken and TSTE Korean B-B-Q Rub Shrimp with all the wonderful people they have met.

A one-of-a-kind treat that blends savory and sweet. Smoked sea salt is blended with dark chocolate to create a rich and versatile seasoning. Gives a savory twist to any dessert, grilled meats, breads, or even rimming a glass for specialty drinks. |
TSTE Ghost Pepper Salt
A fiery blend of natural sea salt and the infamous "Ghost Pepper" or Naga Jolokia, known for being the hottest pepper in the world. Great for adding salty heat to chicken wings, chili, Bloody Marys, or any dish that needs an extra bite!
Pinot Noir wine lends a subtle flavor and beautiful purple hue to this unique salt. Can be used with any recipe, but preferred as a presentation salt or garnish for the table. Adds a splash of color to hors de oeuvres, potatoes, vegetables, or other dishes.

Chili Maple Bacon & Strawberry Pancakes! |
Wake up Dad's senses with the glorious scent of these spicy and sweet recipes for BACON and PANCAKES with this breakfast menu!
Chili Maple Bacon
Bryan Behling and Jeffrey Schrader, TSTE of Winter Park
1 lb bacon
1/4 cup maple syrup
In a small bowl, blend TSTE Dark Chili Powder, TSTE Light Chili Powder and TSTE Maple Syrup Granules; set aside. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees F. Place a cooling rack inside a large sheet pan lined with tin foil. Arrange bacon slices on the cooling rack so they do not touch each other. Lightly brush each slice with maple syrup and sprinkle generously with the chili-maple mix. Bake 10-12 minutes, or until preferred doneness. Remove from cooling rack and place on paper towels to absorb any remaining grease.
Sweet Pancakes
1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
2 cups Strawberries (sliced), Raspberries or Blueberries, as preferred
Whisk together the flour, TSTE Sugar, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Whisk together the egg, milk and TSTE Vanilla Extract Madagascar in a small bowl. Preheat a nonstick griddle or fry pan over medium heat. Whisk the wet ingredients into the dry and stir in the melted butter. The batter should be thick and smooth. Fold in the fruit. Spoon the batter onto the griddle 1/4 cup at a time. Cook until pancakes are set and bubbly, about 3 min. Flip with a spatula and cook until golden brown, about 2 minutes more. Serve with butter and maple syrup. Serves 4. |
Announcing Our Newest Blend - Cinnabar Smoke
TSTE Cinnabar Smoke Rub | Rub
TSTE Cinnabar Smoke, created by Bryan Behling & Jeffrey Schrader, TSTE of Winter Park! Long before they thought they would have their own spice store, Bryan & Jeffrey experimented with cinnamon and chipotle in their grilled burgers. Experience with our stronger, more flavorful TSTE Blends and Spices led to the creation of TSTE Cinnabar Smoke, a warm and smoky rub that enhances chicken, steak, ribs, pork, and of course, burgers! The Spice Monkeys recommend mixing the blend into ketchup for a spicy version of the popular condiment or with honey for a rib glaze. We are proud to add this blend to our line! TSTE Cinnabar Smoke Blend contains TSTE Sweet Onion Sugar, TSTE Chipotle Pepper Powder, TSTE Minced Onion, TSTE Minced Garlic, TSTE Kosher Salt, TSTE Worcestershire Powder, TSTE Vietnamese Cinnamon, TSTE Smoked Peppercorns, TSTE Spanish Hot Paprika, TSTE Parsley, and TSTE Marjoram. |

GRADUATION TIME!

June is National Iced Tea Month
Legend has it that a tea vendor at the 1904 World's Fair ran his hot tea through iced pipes to offer to visitors in the sweltering heat. Iced Tea was born! We've got our own ideas on how to beat the heat with this sweet treat - try freezing your favorite TSTE Tea in ice cube trays to add to punches, lemonade, and of course, tea! Our Fruit Infusion Pitcher makes making the following iced tea specialties a snap!
TSTE Green Tropical Tea is great iced, and you can add STRAWBERRIES and PINEAPPLE to the infusion rod for that Island flavor and feel!
Iced Bombay Chai is nice on ice! Use this recipe to make as little or as much as you like; equal parts vanilla and chocolate soy milk, with TSTE Maple Syrup Granules to taste, plus TSTE Bombai Chai Tea. Bring it to a simmer, stirring frequently for five minutes. Ice it down for a special treat! |
