Waughy's Word
First of all
I'd like to say how heartening it has been seeing so many bums on bikes
recently! We've been having the odd sunny day here and there which always helps
but we've definitely seen an increase in people, especially families, popping
into the shop. Our bike sales have gone bananas recently and, if I put my
business hat on for a moment, it's really made our move to the new shop
worthwhile. It was always going to be a risk, especially with the economy as it
is, but it seems to have been a really positive move for us. For a second I
started to think maybe we should have gone bigger but greed doesn't sell bikes,
so we're over the moon with where we are now!
You may be
able to tell that I'm in quite a good mood at the moment! Mainly because I'm
just getting ready to go on holiday! As much as I love the shop, it's great to
get away. I'm jetting away with some of the lads for, you guessed it, a cycling
holiday! As the saying (that I just invented!) goes, you can take the boy out
of M. Steel Cycles but you can't take M. Steel Cycles out of the boy!
As we have
done for six years running now, we'll be flying off to the 'Paradise Island'
itself - Majorca! ...

M. Steel Cycles is a certified Shimano Service Centre with two full time Advanced Cytech qualified mechanics. We offer a full range of repairs from a full strip down service, to a `simple` puncture. We have a fast next day service on all cycles*. Wheel repairs and builds also available. We pride ourselves on our quality of work and customer satisfaction.

Why should I buy from M. Steel Cycles?
 1. We give 3 free services with all bikes sold! After 1, 6 and 12 months. This ensures you will have trouble free riding and we will pick up any possible problems you may encounter during the first year of using your new cycles.
2. We have two purchase options designed to give you as much value from your purchase without devaluing the service we hope to attain.
a. You can choose up to 10% off the value of the bike in accessories free of charge. These can be chosen at the time of purchase or gift vouchers issued to the value for later use.
OR
b. Purchase your cycle on interest free finance (subject to status written details on request) over 6, 12, 18 or 24 months depending on the value of the cycles.
3. We have a number of test bikes at the more expensive end of our range which may be hired prior to that special purchase. Any hire fees are refunded on the purchase of a cycle.
4. We have been continually selling bikes here in Newcastle for more than 100 years! All our staff are local supporting our Tyneside economy, we are not a faceless organisation. Try looking at our company info page where our staff are profiled and our roots traced.
