Feeding the Beavers

Oregon State University McNary Dining Center is now carrying the full line of Dave's Killer Bread products. Dave's Killer Bread and Naturebake's Sustainability Practices also align perfectly with OSU's dining and food practices, including (but not limited to):

Support food rescue programs
Recycling programs - bags, utensils, and anything reusable
Use of biodegradable packaging
Buy from local farmers and vendors whenever possible
Environmentally-friendly transportation of products
Organic whole grain products

We are also excited to announce our participation at the OSU Spring Fair Carnival, May 18th, in McNary Dining Center. We will be having product tastings and giving away lots of fun DKB prizes. Don't worry Duck fans, we will update you on our developments with U of O.

Montana Fans

Yes, it's official, we had to pull all DKB products in Montana. We have made getting distribution back to the Big Sky state a top priority. We feel the love and hope to get a new distributor on board to distribute the DKB products. We hope to have the product available to you come the first part of July.

Costco Road Shows

The Dave's Killer Bread roadshow crew is making another round of Costcos throughout the summer. This time around, it will be a little different than the last tour of roadshows. While Costco currently carries only our Good Seed and 21 Whole Grains breads, you will be able to sample and purchase 2-packs of five different varieties of Killer Bread at our booth, including Powerseed, Peace Bombs, and Sin Dawgs. We hope to see you there.

Charitable Contributions - Loaves & Fishes, feeding seniors

We believe in giving back to the community and appreciate the fantastic community service Loaves and Fishes provide to those in need. In total, they provide more than 5,000 meals a day to local seniors through their 34 dining centers and home delivery. Recently, Dave's Killer Bread stepped up and made a commitment to donate over 40,000 loaves of bread a year to their centers. Dave Dahl will be speaking at Loaves and Fishes' Annual Luncheon on May 12, 2011 from 11:30am-1:00pm at the Oregon Convention Center's Portland Ballroom. Since 1970, Loaves and Fishes Centers have enriched the lives of seniors and assisted them in maintaining independence by making nutritious food, social contacts and other resources easily available.

Dave's Killer Bread continues to support the Portland Farmers Market

At Dave's Killer Bread, we believe that we couldn't have achieved what we've achieved the past five years without Portland Farmers Market. It was such a great experience to sell our breads, meet customers face-to-face, and tell the story behind our products. Portland Farmers Market has helped launch many local food businesses. It is such a special organization that we wanted to continue to support it as a sponsor for 2011.

Portland Farmer's Market is celebrating their 20th season. They have contributed to the success of local food growers and producers, strengthened the food economy and served as a community gathering place. The market is open from March until December, with more than 700,000 shoppers purchasing farm-fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, seafood, and other specialty items from more than 250 vendors. Come visit us at our Healthy Bread Store for fabulous deals on day-old and frozen Dave's Killer Bread. You won't find better deals on Portland's Best Bread anywhere! Frozen bread is bread that has been returned from a grocery store that did not sell. It is generally 3-5 days old when frozen. We also have our line of merchandise available for purchase; good DKB t-shirts, hoodies, and wallets by Sara Bella.
