an internet marketplace where people can buy specialty food directly
from artisanal foodmakers. The great thing about this website is it
allows customers who don't live in the Pacific Northwest to have fresh
DKB shipped directly to them.

We have seen a number of Dave's Killer Bread knockoffs making their way to a few shelves in the northwest. We can't mention them by name, but they are 16oz loaves, not organic (made with much cheaper
ingredients) and are sweetened with corn syrup. But they are cheap: $3 a loaf. Have you checked them out? We'd love
to get your feedback.

| Dave's Killer Bread now sold in WinCo!

I am very excited to announce that starting Sunday, August 2nd, Dave's Killer Bread will be sold in WinCo stores in the Portland and Vancouver metropolitan areas. WinCo shoppers will be able to purchase three different varieties of Dave's Killer Bread--Good Seed, 21 Whole Grains, and Blues--at a much lower price. Making my bread available to more people at a discount has been one of my goals for a long time and I am happy we have achieved it with WinCo, an employee owned supermarket chain dedicated to selling quality products at low prices.

Starting August 14th and going until August 16th, we will be sampling and selling loaves of Dave's Killer Bread at "A Taste of Edmonds", Washington's 2nd largest three-day festival offering tastes of local restaurants and food vendors, arts &
crafts booths, children's area, four entertainment stages, roaming

2009 Vancouver Wine & Jazz Festival - August 21-23
We are very excited to be a vendor at the 2009 Vancouver Wine &
Jazz Fest starting August 21st and going until August 23rd at Esther

and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, to name a few), great food and wine,

| Upcoming Costco Road Shows

Starting Thursday, July 30th and going through August 2nd, Dave himself will be at the Costco in Puyallup, WA sampling six different varieties of Dave's Killer Bread. From August 27th to August 30th, he will be at the Costco in Silverdale, WA also sampling six different varieties of DKB. During these roadshows, we will be selling a mix-and-match 2-pack of Dave's Killer Bread for $6.75. At this good of a price, it is worth braving the heat and coming down to Costco!

Killer "Breadquarters" Store Expansion

We are currently renovating and expanding the Killer Breadquarters--officially the Healthy Bread Store--to accommodate more products and customers. Keep your eyes peeled for our next newsletter, which will have tons of info about the grand re-opening of the Healthy Bread Store celebration. In the meantime, our store is open and as always, you will find righteous deals on fresh "imperfects" (the only thing "imperfect" is how they look), day-old loaves, production overruns, and store returns (which are sold out of the freezer). This is all still very killer bread, as many folks have discovered. Even the Willamette Week has been singing our praises ("nutty, hearty, whole-grain organic loaves that beat the pants off any sandwich slabs in town--and maybe the universe). It's worth a trip to Milwaukie for a lot of folks. And to sweeten the deal, look for a link to a buy one, get one free coupon on the left side of this email.
