March is going to be a very exciting month for us at CraftFancy! First of all, we have some great new products in the store and more are on the way. It seems like the big brown truck is making frequent stops in front of our store these days and we couldn't be happier. There are new stamps, paper, tools, and embellishments in the store that will knock your socks off. Read below for some of our newest products.
Even more exciting than new products is the Big Spring Make and Take Event on March 28th! This is a day you will want to fight the parking lot and make your way in to meet designers from both Crafty Secrets and Spellbinders Nestabilities. There will be sales, a free project and product demos that you won't want to miss. More details below.
We added some great classes this month as well. Last month's Mother/Daughter Tea was such a hit, we added another Mother/Daughter class this month that everyone will love. Also, I added a Cricut Workshop for everyone who owns this fabulous tool and would love to use it more or even at all. And you won't want to miss the Teresa Collins mini book class or the Hero Arts Card Party because these classes are only available this month and the projects are wonderful. Be sure to check out our Calendar for all the current and upcoming classes. You can read below about some of our highlights and we also post photos of most of our store samples and all our class samples in our Online Gallery. No experience required for most our classes and there is something for everyone.
And if you are a fan of the Copic Markers and wished you got a spot in one of our clubs, our basics and advanced classes are available this month as well as a Copic Boot Camp coming in April. All details below.
Be sure to keep tabs on what's new in the store, upcoming classes and store news on our blog. This is the spot for all up to date store information. We hope to see you soon!simone

Spring Make and Take Event
|
|
Saturday, March 28th
Make sure you mark your calendar, you won't want to miss out on this special event. We are having designers from Crafty Secrets and Spellbinders Nestabilities. These are two fantastic companies with really great products.
Don't miss seeing Michele Kovack from Crafty Secrets and all her vintage inspired projects. Michele's use of Crafty Secrets products and Nestabilities will knock your socks off. And did I mention that she is an amazing Copic Marker artist as well? This is a girl you will want to see in action, for sure. Crafty Secrets carries a wide variety of stamps and paper products with a vintage theme. Their paper packs and stamps work wonderfully together for any of your paper crafting projects.
If you are anything like me, you have been admiring the cards featured on blogs around the world using Spellbinders Nestabilities. These clever little dies cut, emboss and act as a stencil. The dies are graduated in size, so they make absolutely perfect layers for your projects. They are fun and so easy to use. The best thing is that Nesties work in Sizzix machines, the QuicKutz Revolution, Cuttlebugs and most other die cut machines. Beth Pingery will be on hand to show you how to get started and all the amazing things you can do with these dies. In addition to standard and scalloped circles, squares, ovals and rectangles, there fantasic new labels shapes, octagons and lots of other fun shapes that were just released for 2009.
Topping it all off will be special sales and a free project for you to make using these amazing products.

Teresa Collins Family Album Didn't you just love the new Teresa Collins products that arrived last month? This month, we
will use the Family Matters and Documented
collections and the Bind It All to create this great little album that will be
treasured for years to come. This album uses all sorts of paper techniques and the class will inspire your
other projects. You can bring
lots of 4x6 family photos or add them later. The best part of this class is that you will have enough supplies
left over to create two additional scrapbook pages. The instructions for these pages are part of your class kit. You will need your basic tool kit for the class, especially your paper trimmer and a bone folder. Also, people who own a scoring tool should bring this along to create a crisper album.
New Mother/Daughter Workshop The mother and daughter teas were so popular, Marnie Bushmole and her daughter are hosting another great class for you and your little helper. The Mom - n - Me Springtime Crafts Workshop will be held on March 21st. This special workshop is geared toward adults and children together, so even if you are not the special little girl's mother, we would love to have aunts, grandmas, neighbors ...whomever, as long as it is an adult and child. This fun workshop will feature four fun projects using new spring papers that you can use to decorate your home for the season. Sharing ideas and time together set the stage for a "Fantabulous" day together. Please bring a glue stick, double-sided tape, pencil, eraser, scissors and two pictures of your child (if you want them punched).
Hero Arts Whimsical Card Party This a great new class that features new stamps from
the 2009 Hero Arts Stamps catalog. We
will be creating six great cards using clear stamps that feature some of their
most fun images. These springtime images
will brighten anyone's day. You won't
want to miss the chance to play with all these stamps and I am sure you won't
be disappointed. This is also a great
class for anyone who has never used Clear Stamps and is interested in getting
started.
Cricut Workshop with Cathy Join
Cathy and learn all about the Cricut Die Cutting Machine. This popular
new tool is the hottest thing in paper crafting today and Cathy will
get you started with a simple project and plenty of useful
information. You will be learning about the machine while making a
spring door wreath. Bring your Cricut with you to class as well as a basic tool kit and dimensional adhesive (pop dots).

Copic Marker Bootcamp |
|
Our Copic clubs and classes are in full swing. If you are interested in these wonderful little tools, this is a great way to get started.
And for those people who really wanted to get into a club and wanted to get started with these markers in full swing, right away... We will be offering a Copic Bootcamp in May!
First, what this includes... In this one day workshop, each person will receive 10 Sketch Copic Markers and learn all the techniques from both the Basics of Copic Markers and Beyond the Basics of Copic classes. This is a completely hands on class and everyone will be using their own markers they receive the day of class. All paper and images are provided as well as handout materials. Simone teaches all Copic classes and has almost 2 years experience as well as being a Copic Certified Designer.
Now the details... This class will be held on Saturday, May 16th from 11a to 2p. Light snacks and beverages will be served. The cost of this amazing workshop will be $130 which includes the markers as described above. This one day event I suspect will be very popular since the next Copic Clubs will not even begin until October. Registration for this Workshop will begin April 1st and feel free to register by phone.
FAQ If I sign up and then cannot attend, can I get a refund? Yes, if you cancel more than a week before the Bootcamp starts which would have to be on or before May 9th.
Why does it cost so much? The markers alone are $80. Add to that class fees, product, instruction, snacks, etc... And that's the actual cost of all the supplies and instruction. Both Copic Classes alone would cost you $50, so I think this is a pretty good deal.
What if I have the colors you give in the Bootcamp? If you own markers, bring them! If you own a color that we are providing that day, you can exchange it for a color that we have in stock. We have over 75 colors, so I am sure you can find one you don't own yet.
Any other questions, concerns...please email or call the store. Registrations begin April 1st.
