February is already here and we are anxiously awaiting tons of new product for spring 2009.
Carol and I have ordered some great new product from some of your favorite companies that we can't wait to show you. We are expecting new paper, stamps, ATC supplies, albums and cool new embellishments. Many of these new items will start shipping in February but some will be shipping in early April, so be sure to ask if there is a particular item you are looking for. We will have new products in the store as soon as they are available.
There are some great classes this month as well. We have added the Mom/Daughter Tea Workshop to the schedule one more time this month as well as add another Copic Marker class and we brought back the Digital Photography classes everyone loves so much. Also, we have some new and unique classes on this month's schedule with some amazingly talented teachers, so be sure to check out our Calendar for all the current and upcoming classes. You can read below about some of our highlights and we also post photos of most of our store samples and all our class samples in our Online Gallery. No experience required for most our classes and there is something for everyone.

|
Mom/Daughter Tea Time Workshop Is Back
Marnie Bushmole and her daughter are hosting an encore Mom/Daughter Tea Time Workshop this month on Saturday, February 7th. This special workshop is geared toward adults and children together, so even if you are  not the special little girl's mother, we would love to have aunts, grandmas, neighbors ...whomever, as long as it is an adult and child. This fun workshop will feature 4 fun projects to create an atmosphere of sweetness. Turning chipboard cupcakes into place setting/picture frames, creating a pinwheel of hearts, a candy filled favor and a lovely card round out the set. Sharing ideas and time together set the stage for a fabulous day together. Please bring a glue stick, double-sided tape, pencil, eraser, scissors and two pictures of your child (if you want them punched).
Valentine Wreath
Come join Margie Higuchi in making a Valentine's wreath for that  special someone! We will be using Teresa Collins' newest line, CRUSH, along with chipboards from Maya Road and Scenic Route. Tons of techniques will be used...embossing, inking, flocking, glittering and more! Don't forget to bring your basic tool kit. You will also need wet adhesive, sand paper, 1"round punch, blending ink applicator & felt. Don't have some of these tools? Not to worry we will have limited supplies available for use during this class. There are two dates for this class
Altered Book
Martha Bonneau is back for this amazing new class for 2009. In  this class you will learn how to alter a vintage hardcover book. Techniques will include how to take the book apart & reassemble it with binder rings, how to alter the cover, embellishment techniques and ideas for altering the pages within. We will be using products by Sassafras & Jenni Bowlin as well as vintage items. Students should bring a basic tool kit as well as a Crop-o-dile & stapler. The vintage book will be included in the class kit.
Disney Mini Album 
So, you are back from your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth and don't know where to start with the pictures you took? On February 24, Cathy will come to your rescue. You will make a 10 page mini-book to showcase your Disney adventure. Keep it for yourself, or give it as a special gift for a fellow traveller. The book is designed to hold 18 2" x 3" pictures. For this class, you will need to bring your basic tool it and a paper trimmer.

| Copic Marker Classes and Clubs |

Once again, I want to thank everyone for all the interest in our Copic clubs and classes. These classes are going so well and we hope everyone is learning lots of useful techniques.
We added a third club to our calendar that begins February 4th at 6p. As I type this email, there are 2 spots still open. We called everyone on our waiting list, so if there is someone who wanted a spot who was not on the waiting list, please call and register today. These clubs will not be offered again until the fall.
For everyone in the clubs, here are your class days. They are the same day every month.
Copic Club 1 (started in November) - meets the 3rd Wednesday
Copic Club 2 (starts in January) - meets the 4th Wednesday
Copic Club 3 (which will start February) - meets the 1st Wednesday
We are still offering the Copic Basics Class. Due to the cost of the markers and an increase in shipping cost, we have raised our prices on all our Copic classes (not the clubs).
We hope that customers will understand that we are trying to offer the best classes at the best prices but do to changes in cost, we had no choice,
I have also added a Beyond Copic Basics Class which is more instruction than the Copic Basics Class. This class has been added to our schedule for February, and we are offering day as well as evening times.

Brand new Teresa Collins paper collections are on their way! These two new lines are perfect for mini books, scrapbooking and cards. Both lines  include an alphabet sheet that are perfectly sized. The Family Matters Collection includes family trees and other pages useful for documenting your family history. The Documented Collection is classically chic with reds and blacks that will make all your photos pop.
Basic Grey Bittersweet
If Teresa Collins' new Valentine collection is not your cup 'o tea, perhaps this new line by Basic Grey is? The rich colors and interesting patterns in this line are wonderful for cards and pages alike. We also have the matching sticker sheets, alphabets, brads, rubons and even the 6x6 paper pads! Look for this new collection right at the front of the store with our complete Valentine display!
Hero Arts Stamps We have another batch of stamps from the new Hero Arts catalog. These are some of the hottest images out there and like this little Russian doll, will be great for coloring with your Copic markers. These stamps feature unique designs at great prices. Check out our blog for more stamp images as well as some projects using these great new sets. More stamps will be arriving soon but remember that our inventory changes frequently, so if you see something you love, we recommend purchasing it while we still have it in stock.
Spring Papers from American Crafts
Wait until you see all the new spring goodies from American Crafts. Four new collections will be hitting our shelves hopefully around February 15th. The vivid colors will shake you out of the winter blahs with a breath of spring. There is a new baby themed collection and one for all the quilters and crafty people out there, too. There are new papers, ribbons, felt embellishments and more. Trust us, you'll love it.
A muse Valentine Stamps
We have reordered many of the new A muse Valentine/Love stamps but due to an overwhelming demand for them, they have been delayed. The stamps should be arriving soon. Please call to reserve your stamp if there is an image you are looking for.
