Happy Halloween!
I am so excited that my favorite holiday is finally here! I love Halloween. The costumes, the scary ghouls and the candy make this the perfect event. Halloween is also the most photographed of all holidays, so as a scrapbooker, I know I will be getting some new exciting pictures to scrap soon. Be sure to lug those cameras with ya as you travel the neighborhood this weekend, your kids will go from dinosaur to zombie in a heartbeat, trust me. And when you are ready to scrap those memories, we still have some great Halloween product in the store awaiting your wonderful pictures.
November is an exciting month here in the store. There are a ton of classes to choose from. We have some great classes that would make great gifts as well as our new Copic Marker classes which start this month. Be sure to check our Online Calendar as well as our Gallery to see our schedule as well as pictures of these great projects.
We will have a Holiday Sales Thanksgiving weekend. So while you are out shopping after your turkey feast, be sure to stop in for some great deals. There is a coupon at the end of this newsletter for that weekend as well, so be sure to bring it in and pass it along to your family and friends.

Holiday Cards with Sarah
Sarah Moore will be teaching this Holiday class that will f eature all sorts of styles and designs. This is a great class for someone who is looking for some card ideas for their own annual cards, a beginner card maker or that person that doesn't make their Holiday cards but would like to send a few to some special people. This class is open to crafters of all levels and with Sarah as your teacher, you are sure to walk away with plenty of new techniques and ideas. This class features 5 cards. All the cards can be seen on the blog HERE as well as in our Gallery. We are offering this class twice in November but sign up fast, space is limited.
Very Vintage Christmas with Louise In this class you'll create a unique Christmas ornament and two 5x7 vintage-styled Christmas cards with Louise Granlund. For the ornament, we'll be using alcohol inks on acrylic as well as some fabulous Christmas stamps
from Tim Holtz and a collage stamp from Hero Arts. We'll then use
those same stamps to create two vintage-styled Christmas cards. This
is a one of a kind class filled with great technique and inspiration. Louise's class are always popular because of their unique style and awesome instruction.
Christmas Countdown Album
After you make this unique standing album,
you will countdown your way to Christmas with pictures from your past
Christmases. This album will be a treasured keepsake that would make a
great gift or treasure for your own holiday d�cor. Everyone who
registers for this class will receive an entire Making Memories
embellishment box (retails for $11.99), Maya Road Album, 8 sheets of
Making Memories patterned paper and stickers. This class is quickly becoming very popular, so register early to ensure a spot.
Digital Photography I with Nate
He's coming home for Thanksgiving weekend and agreed to come to the store to help people use their digital cameras before the holidays. Ever wonder what all those buttons on your
camera mean? Want to learn how to take better pictures? Then this is
the class for you! In this session, we will be covering all the basics
of digital photography. The auto settings as well as basic picture
composition will be covered. This is our most popular class and I am sure will fill up fast. The next time this class will be offered will be early January, so be sure to get a spot in this hands on class before the tree goes up, the kids begin to carol or a single present is exchanged.
Kids Camp
I had so much fun with the kids last month when we made Halloween treats. I am always amazed at how well behaved children are when they are creating, it was wonderful. I hope they can join me again this month when we will be creating Holiday Gifts for Our Parents. I would love to show you a picture but that would ruin the surprise, wouldn't it?! I promise that my little craftsters will not be disappointed, we will be getting messy this month. Kids Camp is November 8th.
Star Mini Album with Margie
 Need a Holiday gift for someone special?
In this class, Margie Higuchi will walk you through making a star mini
album out of Maya Road chipboard as well as sheer shapes. This is the
perfect little photo filled gift that anyone would love to receive.
You can bring your pictures the day of class or add them later.

Making Memories Paperie
The new 6x6 papers and journaling books from Making  Memories Paperie collection are now in stock. These colorful products are great for scrapbookers and cardmakers alike. The rich color combinations and cool prints make this a fun product for any project. We currently stock the brown/red and blue green paper packs which are 65 lb cardstock weight and contain 48 sheets od patterned paper. We also stock all four colors of the paperie journaling books.
ScorPal MatThe mat for the ScorPal is now in stock for all you Sc orPal fans. This translucent Scor-Mat fits exactly in the recessed area of your
Scor-Pal. It is almost 12" x 12". On one side is a self-healing cutting
mat with 1/8th increments in white and inch markings in black. We
recommend the use of a sharp craft knife rather than a rotary cutter.
The other side is a shiny work surface. After scoring, no need to put your Scor-Pal away, simply insert the Scor-Mat and work away.

Copic Marker Club

Another Club beginning January 2009
By now most people know that we have the Copic Markers in store.
And that we have classes and clubs for t he markers. In fact, the current club that starts in November filled in 3 days.
But you may not know that the new club will start in January and that sign ups start tomorrow, November 1st.
In case you missed the details before, here they are again...
Club will begin January 2009 and end in June 2009.
How much does it cost?
$35 per month for 6 months
What do I get?
Each
month you will receive 5 Copic Sketch Markers. The colors are
pre-determined based on the techniques you will be learning in the free
class offered each month. This class is only open to Copic Maker Club
members. Club Members will also receive a special folder for all their
Color Charts, Handouts and materials.
What happens if I can't attend the class that month?
If
for some reason you are unable to attend the Free Marker Club Class of
the month, you will still receive your markers as well as any handout
information we provide the members at class that month. You may pick up
your markers on or after the class date.
I am currently looking into a way to make the lessons available online as well using videos or picture posts.
What is covered in class?
The
Free Marker Club Classes provide hands on experience with your new
markers from a Certified Copic Designer. These markers are wonderful
tools when they are used properly and over the course of 6 months, they
will become an invaluable tool in your arsenal. These classes are
technique and not project based classes. So, although you will not be
walking away with a full finished card or page, you will be walking
away with lots and lots of knowledge and experience.
What's the difference between the Copic Marker Basics Class and the Free Marker Club Class?
Besides
the fact that the Club Class is free and only open to members, it is
also much more advanced over the months as opposed to the Basics class.
Also, the Basics Class uses our store markers and thus, the hands on
experience is not as thorough as the Club Class. The Basics Class is
meant to get you started with Copics and for people who are on the
fence about purchasing them at all.
How do I pay for the Club?
The
Copic Marker Club is $35 per month. (The cost of the markers is
increasing in 2009) The first month is pre-paid when you register.
After that, the additional months are charged to the credit card you
provide on the date of class each month.
When will the next club begin if I can't attend now?
Since
our clubs last 6 months, this club will end in time for summer
vacations. The next club will probably not start until fall. If there
are enough people to form another group that will begin in January, we
will consider running 2 clubs from January to June. Please put your
name on the waiting list if you are unable to sign up before the class
fills.

This club fills extremely fast, so act fast.
