January 25, 2010 - The SBA announced that it renewed its two-year partnership agreement with the Minority Business RoundTable (MBRT) to continue joint outreach efforts to minority entrepreneurs. "During these difficult economic times, it is imperative that we provide small and minority businesses with the necessary tools to drive economic growth and create jobs in their communities," said SBA Administrator Karen Mills.   details 
 
January 28, 2010President Obama to propose new Small Business jobs and wage tax cut intended to create jobs and cut taxes for small businesses.  Businesses will receive a $5,000 tax credit for every net new employee that they employ in 2010.  Small businesses that increase wages or hours for their existing employees will be reimbursed for the Social Security payroll taxes they pay on real increases in their payrolls.  details
