Local SCORE Counselors Honored 
Score awards the Alice Brown Award of Excellence

At the National SCORE conference in August, Tony Carlisi and Larry Feldman were presented with the Alice Brown Award of Excellence  for their outstanding fundraising leadership at the local, regional and national level in support of SCORE.
 
In further recognition and to further support SCORE, the New York State Directors have established the Carlisi/Feldman Fund within the SCORE Foundation.
 
Congratulations to Tony and Larry for their dedicated hard work to support SCORE.

October 1, 2009 - September loan volume was the highest since August 2007.  Changes under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to U. S. Small Business Administation loan programs led to a rebound in SBA-backed loans for small businesses and greater access to much-needed capital. details   
 
September 14, 2009 - SCORE joins the SBA in welcoming Jon Malcolm Richards as the new SBA Branch Manager in Rochester.  Jon brings 19 years of experience in small business lending at three of the nation's largest banks.
 
September 14, 2009 - H1N1 Preparedness Guide developed for Small Businesses.  "Small businesses play an essential role in our national effort to prepare for all disasters and emergencies - including H1N1 flu," said DHS Secretary Napolitano.  "This guide will help America's small businesses maintain continuity of operations and resilency as the fall flu season approaches."  details   view the guide
