ProTech has upgraded it's Monroeville center with Quad Core 2.2Ghz 12GB RAM w/23" wide-screen monitors and updated our server pool to Dell Poweredge 1950s with 16GB RAM w/Dual Ethernet redundant IP.
In addition to our Monroeville training center, we also utilize training locations Downtown, Cranberry, and in Moon Township.
For onsite classes we have a traveling Mobile Classroom for training practically anywhere or stduetns can utlilize our Virtual Classroom for live online delivery.
With all these options and new initiatives our Pittsburgh schedule has greatly expanded. See the local schedule online at...

| Authorized Novell Suse Linux Courses! |
 ProTech Now Certified by Novell to Run Official SUSE Linux Classes. ProTech has trained in UNIX and Linux for over twenty years. As a Novell Authorized Education Center, we can now offer official training for SUSE distributions of Linux. In addition, this new partnership allows us to hold courses in other core solutions such as ZENworks, GroupWise, eDirectory, and Open Enterprise Server.

| Instructor Dan Oliver joins ProTech! |
 ProTech is pleased to announce the arrival of our newest staff instructor, Dan Oliver. Dan is an experienced trainer with certifications from Red Hat, Novell Suse and CompTIA. Dan has been deeply involved with Linux and open-source programming. He has been active with the W-PA Linux user group for several years and particularly interested in security and White Hat Hacking. With his love and vast knowledge of technology, Dan brings a great energy to the classroom and is excellent at working with students of diverse skills sets and relating subject matter to real world scenarios. |

 Developers, leave your code at the office; DBAs, forget Oracle and SQL for one night; CIOs, you can worry about the information technology audit tomorrow. It's time for Pittsburgh user groups to unite! For the ninth consecutive year the summer socials of many Pittsburgh user groups -- including Java, .NET, Oracle, SQL, SharePoint and many others -- combine for a unique night of networking and fun. Learn about the benefits and challenges of each technology through informal conversations with peers. Enjoy free appetizers, raffle prizes and a cash bar. Other participating user groups (tentative) include Coding Dojo, IIBA, IRMAP, ISSA, PES, PghDW Group, Pittsburgh ColdFusion User Group, PMI's IT LIG, STC, WPEAF, WPLUG, WSMQUG and WSUG. Attend and interact with your peers to learn the meaning of each acronym.
