This painting is a customized cross between
the PhotoReal technique and the Painting
technique. It is the 8th painting purchased
by Hollywood Film Producer Craig Murray. (He
makes the trailer previews to the major
films) We decided to make this one much more
realistic than the others because it was such
a high quality image to begin with, and the
blurred foliage was already such an abstract
pattern. It still has a slight Painting
effect, though, and made a nice gift to an
employee. This is also an example of how an
online painting proof preview looks, with the
overall suggested painting crop on the left
and a series of detail enlargements so that
the degree of realism and brushstrokes is
understood by the customer prior to purchase.
"Your Photo to Painting provides the best and most-personalized service I've ever experienced online. And their products are exceptional, as well. It's a great site for one-of-a-kind gifts for family members, friends and clients. The prices are very fair, too." Craig Murray, Craig Murray Productions Burbank, California |

The excitement at the end of her recital is
pretty evident, and this shot will forever
capture that jubilant spirit. To the right
are a couple of details so that you can see
the degree of the painting effect that worked
best with this image.
The second painting is from the Gulf Coast of Florida and captures the sometimes elusive love and tranquility between siblings. I guess a fun day on the sugar white beach of Watercolor brings out the best in everyone. "I received the shipping info from UPS and am looking forward to seeing it in person. The painting is a father's day gift for the children's dad who is currently deployed to Iraq. We emailed him the proof image, but will present him the real thing when he is home for his 16 days R&R the end of July! " Maggie B., Santa Rosa Beach, Florida |

As an artist who has painted many original
commissioned pieces, I can offer my take on
the difference between the traditional
hand-painted approach and the digitally
painted version. The main difference from the
standpoint of you, the person purchasing a
painting made from a photo is that our
website is about one-tenth of the price!
That's $200 or so versus $2000 for a
comparable quality painting done by hand. As
an artist who has worked with many clients
to create paintings of family members for
instance, I know that there is an inevitable
anxiety over what the outcome will be. Our
online proof approval process then, is
the second distinct advantage to the digital
versus hand-painted art, besides the price.
It helps to remove the anxiety and allows the
patron a more
collaborative role if desired, to be sure
that they are able to get exactly what they
want. This process allows us to be confident
that we will be delivering an heirloom
quality piece of art that you are already
comfortable with, so that our unconditional
satisfaction guarantee isn't really that much
of a risk on our part. Something that was a
lot harder to offer after 20 or more hours
had been spent on a traditional commission.

This was an interesting challenge. Jill C. in
North Carolina wanted a painting of her
entire garden. It was so beautiful and
expansive that it took three photos to do it
justice.
We were able to put them together into a panoramic whole and balance the colors and lighting variations so that it made an impressive keepsake that can be admired long into the dead of winter each year. Just the visual memory of her lush and peaceful flower garden can inspire a hopeful spirit year-round. |
