Friend
Can you feel it slowing down yet? Seems like
about this time of year (after Memorial Day)
the pace starts letting up as more and more
people start planning summer vacations and
trips. Please help us continue growing
through the doldrums of summer by telling any
family, friends and co-workers who you think
might like to get original art for less about
our website.
There's also a link in the lower left of this
message to forward this to a friend. There
will be a lot of graduation and vacation
photos that would look great as paintings on
canvas!
In addition to a vacation shot from Europe, I
thought this time I would share some recent
paintings we have done of small children. We
had so many good ones to choose from with all
of the Mother's and Father's Day orders.
That's the thing about children being so
little and so cute, they change and grow so
quickly right before your eyes. A painting on
canvas is a wonderful way to hold onto those
times forever.

Here is a selection of recent paintings from
infants to pre-teens. The larger painting of
the little girl with the red purse is from
Stephen H. in Savannah, Georgia. This casual
snapshot converted into a painting that has
such classic qualities....the way the shadows
streak the wall.
Each of the other four paintings shows a
detail section so you can get an idea of the
brushstroke textures. Some were done tighter,
and more realistic, others looser and more
'painterly', depending on the individual
patron's taste. That is a wonderful advantage
of our online proofing system. Our thanks to
Matt B., Carie C., Teri J., Carey V. in
addition to Stephen H. for sharing these
images with us.

Kerry F. of Mamaroneck, NY has had several
photos made into paintings through Your Photo
To Painting. This was one of our
favorites. Can you guess where he was? We'll
let him tell you:
"I was on vacation in Ireland in 2005 when I
took this picture. I was driving just north
of Galway on the western coast of Ireland and
I realized that I had missed a turn. I
turned down a dead-end street to turn around.
The house was on the street right at the sea
wall. The flowers were very vibrant against
the cottage. I parked and hopped out of the
car to take the picture. Everyone I showed
the picture to loved it and I thought it
would look great as a painting versus just an
enlargement of the photo."
