Ideas & Tips
|
| |
Friend
This bi-monthly issue of Ideas & Tips will
always notify you of any special sales or
promotions going on (who doesn't like to save
money these days?). For shorter term
promotions, we are putting the finishing
touches on links to a series of social sites
like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. so you
can be aware of anything happening between
issues.
We have recently been sending additional
Introductory Sale cards for customers to
share with friends, family and co-workers. I
want to say a special 'thank-you' for helping
to spread the word (and the savings!) about
where to get original art for less with Your
Photo To Painting. Don't miss the
Spring Sale details at the bottom of this
issue.
Altering background elements and repairing
flaws is still a very common request, so in
this issue we will look at examples of that.
The subject matter is as varied as, well,
ships old and new, puppies and Australia!

Old ship looking new, and a 'Change of Command'.... |
|
|
|
|
When Jeff C. showed me the postcard sent from
his father while working the ship that served
Asian delivery routes many years ago, the
damage and age were apparent. The torn parts
had been taped together and the tape had aged
to a yellow-brown. Here's an example of a
restoration project enlarged and printed on
canvas.
I don't often get calls from Greece or
Morocco, but Ensign Samuel L. from the USS
Bradley kept checking in on the progress of
his painting whenever he was in port. The
example on the right is a painting featuring
his ship and namesake over a background
nautical map. It was done as a gift for their
departing Captain to honor his time of
service with his shipmates.

How do you make an adorable puppy even more adorable? |
|
|
|
|
Randi S. uploaded photos of her very cute
puppy (yes, they're all cute!) but the
background was more of a distraction than a
help. He was playing with a bright red scarf
and had it around his neck like the dapper
fellow he is.
Wouldn't it be great if he were outside
playing in the grass like in this other shot?
No problem, just ask. There is no extra
charge for simple changes like these. And
Randi was able to see these changes prior to
purchasing her art, so there were no
surprises. This is another reason we offer a
100% money back satisfaction guarantee. We'll
keep changing your painting and letting you
see the proofs BEFORE you buy.

Our family LOVED Sydney, too bad about the strangers in our shot. |
|
|
|
|
When the family vacation is to a special
destination like Sydney, Australia, you want
to cherish the memory. Too bad so many of the
vacation memories are hastily taken
'snapshots' that aren't always so perfect.
In the example above, there were several
other people in the background. This isn't
unusual in a popular crowded spot like this
on the
waterfront. A little retouching prior to
applying the painting technique and the
family has a piece of art to enjoy for years.
So whether your special shot is perfect or not
remember that the affordable
solution is Your Photo
To Painting.
