Friend
Here's wishing a Happy New Year to you and
best wishes for all of your ventures in 2009!
As we begin the
year in this new climate of frugality we will
look at ways to enjoy original artwork at
costs greatly reduced from the traditional
price ranges.
I also would like to personally thank each
and every one
of you who have become a part of the Your
Photo To Painting family of loyal customers,
helping to spread the word on this new form
of affordable original artwork through
tremendous word-of-mouth referrals. Our first
full year of operation brought a 10-fold
increase in our e-newsletter subscribers and
a November and December volume that was
double that of September and October.

My wife loves the Romantic period paintings... |

When Brian C. in Washington DC uploaded a
close-up
shot of their dog Lipsi, she looked to me
like any
other beagle...until he also uploaded a shot
of her playing at the water's edge. Her
full-body stance showed the nice mix of
beagle with other hunters, perhaps pointer.
He said that since the close-up was a lot
like another enlarged photo they already had
of her it would be nice if she could be in a
setting reminiscent of the 19th century
Romantic style landscapes. I placed her in a
composition that looked natural and timeless.
Lipsi is now hanging on Pennsylvania
Avenue...(just up the street from another
Washington couple in search of a family dog).

No need to let the expense of a wedding keep
you from a wonderful momento of that most
special day. A painting created from one of
the many shots taken during the ceremony or
the festivities afterward is such a welcome
gift and will be enjoyed for years even
though it may be the least expensive part of
the day!
The three examples above were before, during
and after the ceremonies and were given by
husbands, parents and friends. No matter
whether indoors or out, formal or casual, a
nice shot makes a great painting and will be
a daily reminder of the love shared by the
happy couple.

One of the most classic subjects for paintings... |
|
|
|

Children. They grow up so fast. The special
bonds between them changes and deepens over
the years. It has long been one of the
staples of portrait painters and the
commissions they command. The potential
problems associated with traditional original
art of children are many... Will the selected
artist deliver the kind of likeness and style
you want? Will the children sit still and
cooperate? What if I don't like the result?
The two examples above were done by us for
families after the fact. Once they had nice
photos in hand, they came to Your Photo To
Painting and were able to overcome the
obstacles usually faced and still end up with
heirloom art to hang in their homes. They
knew the exact (very reasonable) cost going
in, and any lingering hesitation was removed
by our satisfaction guarantee!
So whether you are looking for an indoor
formal look or the casual beach vacation
memories of your children, the affordable
solution is Your Photo
To Painting.
