I am a neutered male, brown tabby and white Domestic Shorthair. 

JJ is an adoptable cat in Alexandria, VA.

Along with changes in temperature and the start of another school year, we have a large number of our clients who have recently moved or will be moving to a new home in Northern Virginia very soon.

If this is you, here are some tips to help make your move (near or far) easier for you and your pets:

-          Be sure to notify our office of your new address. We will need to obtain a new service agreement from you to be able to provide service at your new home. Additionally, we will need to schedule a Meet & Greet visit with your sitter so that he or she may become acclimated with your new residence. (Technically, we should not even enter your home without a signed agreement and a Meet & Greet, so please give us a heads up before you schedule your next service!)

-          If you need the keys to your old address returned, please let us know where and when they need to be sent. We will mail the keys to the designated address via certified mail.  

Please note: This means you will most likely have to sign for your keys when they are delivered to your address, so please make the proper arrangements to do so! If for some reason you are not available when the keys are delivered, your postman should leave a notice and retain your keys at your local post office. If you do not pick them up promptly, the keys will usually be returned to us, and we will contact you immediately.

-          If you do not wish to have your keys mailed certified, you must give us permission to send them via your preferred method such as regular mail, or a key drop-off. A key drop-off may be scheduled with your pet sitter for $15 fee.  

-          Finally, once at your new address, consider purchasing a lockbox if you haven't done so already! We can provide a lockbox for a $35 deposit or you are welcome to purchase one on your own.  Lockboxes are secure, affordable, and easy to maintain (for you AND your pet sitter), especially when you're on the move!

As always, we want your pets to receive the loving care they deserve while you're away from home. It is important to take proper care of your lockbox, locks, and keys so that we may better serve you and your pets, no matter the circumstance.
