The unofficial beginning of summer has come and gone. I hope everyone had a fabulous Memorial Day holiday weekend! If you were busy with pets, you got a taste of what is right around the corner - vacation season! This is our busiest season of the year and I hope everyone is gearing up for a great summer. Please keep your availability current with the office so that you can be as busy as you want spending quality time with your favorite pets and making lots of summer money.

Human Resources Updates

Remember to notify the office any time you get a new cell or home phone number and if you have a new address. If your phone number is temporarily unavailable, please notify the office with how we can contact you. A new address will require you to sign a new payroll form so we can change your address on your paychecks and your W-2. A new email address needs to be changed in Bluewave immediately so we can send your work confirmations.

WINNER OF THE HANDBOOK CONTEST FOR A $25 GAS CARD
Congratulations Denise Phillips! Denise is the winner of the $25 gas card for the April/May Handbook Contest. She was one of many who correctly answered "E" as the only incorrect statement of the 5 statements. The policy is to leave a note checklist at EVERY visit (the statement incorrectly said to only leave the note checklist at the last visit). The explanation is that the client may come home early and cancel the rest of their service. Or they may have somebody checking the house and looking for the notes. And the number one reason to leave a note checklist at every visit is that it is BPC Company Policy.

All Pet Care Professionals are responsible for knowing and following the Pet Care Procedures Manual and the Employee Handbook. Here's a contest to help learn the policies and procedures. Answer the question correctly and be entered to win a $25 gas card. Email your answer to Johna. All correct responses received by 5 pm Monday June 13 will be entered in a drawing to win. Employees who work full-time in the office are not eligible to win. Send the correct answer or answers to this question.
June's Question:
The client Profile should have all the information & details required for anyone to do the service. The more detailed the information, the easier it will be for someone unfamiliar with the home and pet to substitute for you. PCPs are responsible for keeping their clients' profile information updated in Bluewave. Substitute PCPs are responsible to report to the office any missing or incorrect information in the client profile. Before taking time off work, PCPs are to make sure all their client profiles are complete and accurate.

a) A substitute will have to call you while you're off work to ask for the missing and correct information

Stephen Jojokian
I want to congratulate Stephen Jojokian for being our employee of the month for May. "Jojo" has been a member of our team since January 2011.
