Happy Spring!  Spring is here, and BPC is getting busier by the minute.  The calls are rapidly coming in for spring and summer reservations, so get your running shoes out! Busy season is just around the corner, and we are gearing up. I know that you will continue to do the great job that you always do for our clients and their pets, and I thank you all!

In case you didn't know, April is Pet First Aid Awareness Month. As Pet Care Professionals, you should know what to do in the event of a pet emergency. Having your Pet First Aid & CPR certification is a great way to be prepared. Becky's Pet Care is proud to offer PetTech® Pet First Aid Training to our employees. I believe it is the best, most comprehensive program available. For more information on the program, you can visit their website at www.pettech.net. Our next company sponsored class is coming up in June. Be on the lookout for more information.

I am very proud to have the best staff of Pet Care Professionals in the business. You are awesome!

Becky

Human Resources Updates

Congratulations Jamie Pendarvis! Jamie's name was drawn from all correct replies to last month's Handbook Contest.  She won a $25 gas card to a local gas station of her choice. She was one of many employees who sent the correct answer to the employee status question.  The correct answer was "E", statements A, B, & D were correct. [a) Pet Care Professionals who are fully available to work during all regular pet care hours are considered full-time employees; b) An employee who refuses scheduled jobs that fit into their availability & geographic location, when they don't have scheduled time-off (in Bluewave), may be subject to disciplinary action; d) Pet Care Professionals who have limited but regular availability during pet care hours are consider part-time employee]

This month's Handbook Contest question is at the bottom of the Human Resources Updates section.

PET CARE: NEWS YOU CAN USE

It seems for the past few months I have been talking about how certain Policies and Procedures are not being followed.  We are still having a problem with this issue.  I would like to get some feedback from our Pet Care Professionals to see if you had any suggestions on how we can better communicate the importance of following all company Policies and Procedures. Please email Theresa at Theresa@beckyspetcare.com with your suggestions.

Sara McMullin & Barton Gates - "I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your kitty-sitting services provided for me while I was way in California for the whole month of February recovering from surgery. My mind was put at ease knowing that Attila the Hungry and Picasso were in expert hands! Sarah was fabulous, and I would definitely request her to take care of my little guys again. A huge wow must go to her for giving "Pico," my sphynx (hairless) cat a bath during this time.  Sphynx cats have to be bathed regularly since they don't have any hair. Sara admitted she'd never given a cat a bath before, but she managed to do the daunting job perfectly! When I returned home, my cats were happy to see me, but not as excited as I would have expected after a whole month, which means Sara really did a great job entertaining and comforting them. I loved the daily report cards, too! So cute! I am already planning future trips, and although they will be quite a bit shorter than this past trip, I will definitely use your service again! Barton was wonderful when I last booked services, and made the process fast yet professional. Thank you again!" -Colleen Cooper

shining star Shauna Miller & Barbara Sulitz - "I have to tell you, Shauna and Barbara are the tops. I have never felt so confident about leaving one of my 'babies' in my life.  I only wish other companies understood the term 'customer service' as well as Becky's does.   You people  should be teaching some classes!!" -Mardie Amery

shining starAlice Hatch - "We have returned home safely and Alice  did a superb job of caring for our two kitties,  taking in the mail, and making sure your home was safe.  It was a pleasure to have her and we hope we will have the opportunity to use her services again. Great job! Thanks."  Lorna Murphy

It was frustrating to not be able to go on our trip and it was nice that Linda was so gracious when we had to cancel.
