  New way to earn money adds up fast!

At the Company Annual Meeting - a new program to help all Becky's employees earn bonuses was unveiled.  With each referral each employee sends to Becky's Pet Care that signs up for service - You receive $20 in your next paycheck.  It's that easy - and to sweeten the deal - your referral receives $20 off their first service - so it's a win-win for all involves.  Specific benefits of the program include:
-Hands-on way for you to build a client base in your area
-Tools to help you promote the discount and your referral - to make your marketing job easy and your paycheck bigger!
-Specific code to track your referrals - EMP followed by your employee number

Thanksgiving Day will be here in a few weeks!  To our seasoned Pet Care Professionals, you probably already have your running shoes out and ready.  For all of our newbies, get ready to go because for the next month or so, you are going to be running. This is one of the busiest times of the year for us!

As we begin the season of "Thanks", I want to thank everyone for making the last 12 years so successful. I truly appreciate all that you do!

Human Resources Updates

We finished the Annual Reviews and everybody has received the updated 2010 Employee Handbook and the Pet Care Procedures.  Now, let's test your knowledge, Pet Care Professionals.   Below are 10 questions from these manuals.  Submit your answers to Johna by email no later than 10:00 am Monday, November 15.  The first person to submit all 10 exactly correct answers will win a $25 gas card.  In the event of more than one correct entry, the winner will be determined by the date/time stamp on the email.  If there are 2 or more correct entries with the same date/time stamp, the winner will be determined by a drawing. (Full-time weekday office staff is excluded from winning this contest.)

 

1.  How does a PCP handle accidently activating the alarm in a client's home?

2.   What is BPC entire policy for client's plant care?

3.   List the PCP Dress Code guidelines.

4.   What are the BPC Policies for Dog Walks & Pet Sitting in the event of inclement weather or national emergency?

5.   The handbook lists 10 examples that typically lead to corrective counseling unless they are repeated or several unrelated incidents occur in rapid succession.  List the first 3 and any 2 other examples.

6.   From the section "Substance Abuse" in the handbook, write the 2nd & 3rd paragraphs.

7.   From the section "Involuntary Termination" in the handbook, write the paragraph that starts with "Any employee ..." & then list the 5 examples of conduct at the end of that paragraph.

8.    From the section "Performance Management and Merit Raises" in the manual, under number 2 "Annual Review", write what it says under "b" and "c".

9.     What does the handbook say about Proprietary & Confidential Information?

10.   What are the promises made to employees in the President's Letter?

Patrice Lindell 

We would like to recognize Patrice Lindell for all the hard work she has done for us in the past two years. Patrice joined our team in October of 2008. She started off as a midday dog walker and pet sitter. Shortly after, she accepted a position at the office as an alternating weekend supervisor.  Patrice is constantly going above and beyond in providing service for all her clients. The office receives positive reviews from Patrice's clients on a regular basis. They appreciate the service that she provides, and they are at ease knowing that their loved ones are in great hands.  Patrice is a great asset to the company; she is always giving us ideas on how to make the office run more efficiently.  Congratulations Patrice, and thank you for being a team player.
