  New way to earn money adds up fast!

At the Company Annual Meeting - a new program to help all Becky's employees earn bonuses was unveiled.  With each referral each employee sends to Becky's Pet Care that signs up for service - You receive $20 in your next paycheck.  It's that easy - and to sweeten the deal - your referral receives $20 off their first service - so it's a win-win for all involves.  Specific benefits of the program include:
-Hands-on way for you to build a client base in your area
-Tools to help you promote the discount and your referral - to make your marketing job easy and your paycheck bigger!
-Specific code to track your referrals - EMP followed by your employee number

WAHOO!  In the 2 months since we launched our first FB ad campaign - we have almost DOUBLED our Facebook fans! As of Oct 1 we have 229 fans. Remember to tell your clients and friends to "Like" Becky's Facebook page and watch for deals and specials - the next one will appear Oct 13 - so tell them now and help us reach 500 fans before the end of the year!

Halloween is just around the corner! 

Jack O'Lanterns, ghosts, ghouls, vampires, and other spooky creatures start to decorate homes and stores. AND that also means, we are getting even closer to the HOLIDAYS... WOW!... Christmas trimmings are hitting some store shelves already as retailers prepare for their busiest season of the year. Well, it's our busiest and best time of the year, too! So get ready everyone... it will be here before you know it!

 

I want to thank everyone who attended the annual staff meeting and who responded to the pet first aid poll. I feel so lucky to have such a great staff of wonderful people!

Human Resources Updates
 Employee Annual Reviews

The Annual Company Meeting and the Open Season for Health Insurance are both over.  October will be for Employee Annual Reviews. Annual reviews will be conducted for all employees hired before May 1, 2010. To sign-up for your Annual Review, contact Johna. All reviews must be scheduled by the end of October.  


Plan about  30-45 minutes for your appointment. Your keys, assigned clients, and client profiles will be reviewed. Make sure your keys are marked properly and your client profiles are complete and up-to-date. Also, be  sure you have submitted your current availability online  and have submitted your bio with your picture for the company web page to Johna. PET CARE NEWS YOU CAN USE!

I want to take this time to remind everybody about our policy regarding our client's homes. There is to be ABSOLUTELY NO ONE allowed to enter in a clients home except the assigned staff member.  This includes having access to the client's pets, keys, and profiles. If you have an evening planned with friends and you want to do your pet sit before or after that is fine just leave your friends in the car. They are not allowed to accompany you into the clients homes or on a dog walk. Failure to follow this policy with result in immediate administrative action. Please review the updated Pet Care Procedures manual  for all the current policies. This was emailed  to all employees  on September 20th.

Liz Ausdenmoore
  We would like to recognize Liz for all the outstanding work that she is doing.  Lix has been with Becky's since September 2009. In addition to her dog walking and pet sitting visits, Liz supervises the Lake Ridge office and provides training for all of our new Pet Care Professionals in Prince William County. September brought about circumstances that required her to take on a lot of extra work. We really appreciate her extra effort. Liz is a great team player and a wonderful example of the quality of employees  who work for Becky's Pet Care.
