Becky's enrolls an average of 51 new clients per month, making the average client acquisition cost $129 per client.  This does not include costs for client maintenance or office overhead. We work very hard to sell our new clients on our service and appreciate our Pet Care Professionals keeping a great impression with them.

Registration forms available at BPC office. We will reimburse the registration fee to any employee that signs up to walk. $15 before September 15; $20 after 9/15.

We made it through the summer! As summer slowly fades and temperatures start to cool down, we are slowly getting ready for fall. Does September have many 90 degree days? I hope not! I know am ready for the cooler temperatures... Thank you all so much for all your hard work. We continue to grow every month, and it's because of our awesome Pet Care Professionals. You all are amazing!

Human Resources Updates
Annual Employee Meeting
Mark your calendar for Tuesday, September 21 @ 6:00 PM at the  Community Business Partnership, 7001 Loisdale Road, Springfield, Va 22150 (same place as last year).
6:00-8:30 PM- new time from last year.
Buffet food will be served at 6:00. The meeting will start at 6:30.

The agenda will include:
- Presentation of health insurance information for next year. (September is open enrollment all month.)
- Employee Referral program (new way for employees to earn money).

- Updates to the Employee Handbook & Pet Care Procedure manual that  affect employees.

 EMPLOYEE ANNUAL REVIEWS
Annual reviews will be conducted in October for all employees hired before May 1, 2010. The sign-up times will be available beginning at the Annual Meeting. Plan about  30-45 minutes for your appointment. Your keys, assigned clients, and client profiles will be reviewed. Make sure your keys are marked properly and your client profiles are complete and up-to-date. Also, be  sure you have submitted your current availability online. http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey+cElBSLQwcjloUTlvaDF6dk1xNHZVUnc6MA and have submitted your bio with your picture for the company web page to Johna. For more information about the Annual Reviews,  please contact Johna.
 
HEALTH INSURANCE
If you're interested in getting information about signing up for health insurance, contact Johna as soon as possible. Open Season for signing up is in the month of September. Employees may sign up for health benefits at the end of their first 90 days of employment, during the annual open season and after other life-changing events. You must be considered a full-time employee to be eligible for health benefits. Full-time for pet care providers is having full availability to work during all regular pet care hours.
 
PET CARE - NEWS YOU CAN USE!
Keys, Keys, Keys!!
 
Proper care of your clients' keys is an essential responsibility. During a visit, keep your client's key on your person at all times. When a client has a lock box, please make sure you have that key on you before you walk out of the house. We do not have a spare key at the office for our lock box clients so if you lock yourself out we have no way of getting back in. Also please label your clients' keys ONLY with the pets names and the client's key number (never the client's name or address). If you need key tags, we have  plenty at the office. We will also have some at the annual meeting on September 21.

Don Chinn
 Don Chinn is the Employee of the Month for August.  As a Senior Pet Care Professional, Don not only does dog walking and pet sitting, but also assists in the company's hiring and training processes.  Don has been with BPC for over 7 years.  His sense of humor is appreciated by the office staff. He is always willing to help when asked.  He steps up to meet the challenge, whatever it may be.  We are glad Don is on our team.
